Don't even attempt to stay here if you have a service dog. Horrible customer service. When I attempted to make a reservation for two nights of a road trip between Portland and San Diego, I barely got the words "service dog" out of my mouth when I was interrupted with, "That's not gonna work. We don't allow aggressive breeds here." Aggressive? The owner doesn't even know my dog, but he said he doesn't need to be concerned with the feelings of any given dog owner when he has so many other customers who will gladly keep giving him THEIR business. Talk about a slap in the face.

Sherwood is a one of our favorite places to stop when out on the river. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Very well maintained and clean. The store prices are reasonable.

Nice for a short stay, not too far out of the city, but feels like miles away. Only drawback is that the lower part of the park (facing the river) is water/electric only, and you need to go to the upper part to empty your sewer tanks.

As with anything, you do a little research, then take a chance to see firsthand what kind of experience you will have. After reading a few reviews for Sherwood Harbor, my wife and I decided to try this location for our summer family get together. I must say we couldn’t have been happier. First off the staff was very friendly and helped us get situated. Because we were having other family members join us with their RV’s they accommodated us with a location that would allow us to all be together. We are sorry to hear they are experiencing flooding right now and hope they are up and running again soon so that we can book a location for our 25th anniversary. The sunsets and solitude of the location make a perfect escape for our silver anniversary!
