Shirat HaNefesh is a welcoming independent Jewish community in “close in” Montgomery County. Our name means Song of the Soul.

Story

Seeking an authentic expression of being Jewish, making great music, and forging folks from every background into a genuine, caring community.

Shabbat Services Friday evenings at 7pm and Shabbat mornings at 9:30am. First Fridays of the month services begin at 6:30pm with a vegetarian potluck dinner following.

Mission

Forging community - one where everyone who is on a Jewish path feels truly welcome. Making beautiful music. Creating an open, nonjudgmental space where everyone can ask questions and try things on for size.
