Stopped in while I was passing through the area, I used to go here all of the time about 12 years ago, when I worked in Hamden.  Nothing has changed and I mean that in a nice way.  Cold beer and great wings - that's all I wanted and that's exactly what I got.

Food is delicious but if you are not white dont go here on busy nights they will stalk u like u dont belong while a bunch of whites stroll in an out with no questioned asked smh racist environment

This place is usually frequented by college students. They have trivia, food and drink specials. The owners are friendly and remembers a face, which is what I especially like thus the reason I keep going back 👍!

When did the food get so bad at side street bar..?
 The last time I have ordered and picked it up, my order was the wrong thing I ordered..
Just picked up my "boneless chicken lips buffalo style" to go no napkins or utensils practically no sauce on it, just not good looking or tasting..  I think I am extra sour about it because this is the 2nd time within a few weeks that I've been craving the meal that I wanted the way they usually make it and it's like not good or not right, feeling like I'm just throwing money away

Right off the bat, I'm giving Side Street five stars because it has acceptable (not great) food and completely owns it in a hilarious way. Take a few minutes to read over their menu, there are some excellent items listed (pop tarts, peanut butter & jelly. Check the price of water). We got a half plate of nachos and pizza bites (bonus points if you can identify the brand of pizza bites) to start. The nachos were good and a good size for three people. I got a burger which was good (the fries needed some seasoning). The waitress was a good sport about all of our stupid questions about the menu. This is definitely a place to check out if you're in a lighthearted mood and in the area.
