I bust my hump going to Law School usually from 8am to late at night. I am a mom and a wife and more when I am not studying. Since I'm away from home so much my husband takes care of our home and children. He does an amazing job. To say the least we both work hard. I deserve flowers on Valentines day and my sweet daughters deserve them too. My husband is the type of man who loves to make his girls feel special on Love day. He went to Sidewalk flower shop to spend what is likely too much for flower's to make us feel special but instead while waiting patiently to be helped he was told to leave without anyone even asking to help him. Because of the color of his skin he was denied service right here in Randolph VT. He didn't deserve that pain. To the woman who treated my husband this way...shame on you! You turned love day into hate and you should be ashamed. The sad thing is that lots of people are being denied services today because of hate. whether it's flowers, car service, a meal or a wedding cake... the reason is hate. Today you perpetuated that here in our little town. I hope you learn to love more and hate less. Happy Valentines day.

I ordered 2 separate flower deliveries for Valentine's Day. They were never delivered. I called the next day and spoke w/Tracy who (lackadaisically) said the owner was on vacation and they couldn't handle the flower orders. To fix this, she promised to charge half price, beef up the arrangements, and deliver them that morning (Thursday). I was pleased. Again, no flowers delivered. I tried calling Friday and no one answered, so I emailed my complaint on their website. The owner immediately replied, apologized and said she would rectify the situation when she returned (the following Wednesday). This was all understandable. The owner left thinking she was leaving her business in good hands. The whole thing was unfortunate, but she insisted she would make it right (given that I had already ordered with ProFlowers). I never heard from her again. I really try to buy local and support businesses in my town. However, given the above, I don't think I'll order flowers from Sidewalk again. On a side note, I read the other reviews here and think it's a shame that people are quick to play the race card. Of course, he didn't know that the owner was on vacation during this holiday and that the staff just couldn't handle it, but he did confirm in his review that they were crazy busy. There were no indicators of discrimination other than the fact that a white man had been waited on (who had already been there), they were very busy, and the woman asked him to come back later. She even came outside to try to apologize! How could a reasonable person think that it was because of his race?!! A true shame really and one of the reasons why we're so divisive in this country right now.

Went to get Valentine's day flowers on Valentine's day, the shop had two walk in customers, one gentleman was white and being assisted in picking out his bouqet by a helpful attendant. The other customer was me a black gentleman. I noticed the store had three other ladies in the back who were very understandibly busy being Valentine's day and all, filling out the phone orders that were being taken by another attendant on the phone. So I proceeded to patiently and pleasantly wait my turn for service with the helpful attendant. Suddenly from the back of the store, one of the store attendants( must be the owner), comes to the front to grab more orders from the phone attendant to bring to the back to be filled, when she notices me and scowls as she adjusts her glasses and loudly mutter's 'can you guys come back later'?! I'm shocked because she can clearly see after adjusting her glasses, that I'm the only customer not being serviced!! Im so shocked that at denial of service that I coil turn around and leave. I get in my car and I notice she is chasing after me, too late I wave her off and drive off.. Disturbed but damn sure I wasn't going to buy her HATE FLOWERS.

The service and dedication that the owner puts into orders at this florist is superb! I ordered flowers from out of state over the phone to be delivered locally. The flowers that arrived were beautiful and exactly what I requested. Sadly, the flowers all died the next day. The recipient called the florist to let them know. The owner was so wonderful & showed back up with an identical bouquet as a replacement and a heart felt apology. No questions asked! I would definitely recommend this florist for people in the area. I will most definitely be using Sidewalk Florist next time I need flowers in Randolph!
