Staff was very pleasant and the food was great! Curried goat was cooked very well and had a wonderful flavor. Was the first time I'd tried brown stewed chicken and I'm very glad I did. Fall-off-the-bone tender and such a good taste. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!
Great food and service and the ladies assisting us were fabulous. They make you feel like your family!
I'm from New York so I know my way around Jamaican cuisine. The oxtail had way too much browning in it which made it bitter, there was barely any meat on the bones, and the veg was cooked too long just soggy and flavorless. The spicy beef patty was good tho and the coco bread was the best part. Super soft!
Overall great experiences when I order from them. I normally get the reggae ribs which are normally amazing and the chicken soup. I have also tried their brown stew, which is fair and curry chicken, which had a good flavor. I don't really like their roti, the consistency is tougher than what I'm used to. But they keep me ordering since this is the closest I get to what I'm used to back home.
I was visiting the area and on my way to the airport after relaxing at Cypress Cove. I felt the need for some food that I can't normally get in Texas. I found Silva Bowl Caribbean Grill was directly on the way to the airport and so I made that my choice. I chose wisely! I did some samples of what they had, but when I got to the Jerk Pork, a smile appeared on my face and a feeling of happiness came over me. This was what I wanted...what I needed! I ordered the pork and a side of beans and rice with a little brown sauce on it. Even a little Mac and cheese made its way on to the plate, but the star of the show was the jerk pork. The lovely lady that helped me decide my lunch was very friendly and she looked happy that I was happy! I look forward to coming here again the next time I am in town. Oh and I did get a rum cake to go, but I have to save it for later. I may make some friends on the airplane later!
This place is AMAZINGme & wife always stop by when we’re in town. Or we’ll even drive 1hr plus just to have the food. The Large portions are truly Large portions. It’s very clean and have great customer service. Definitely would recommend this place‼
Tried for the first time yesterday and the food was absolutely delicious….but the service was exceptional!!! Will be going back. Had the Curry chicken, jerk pork, Mac and cheese, and roti.
Really friendly atmosphere and absolutely delicious food. Great portion sizes too! I got a large curry goat and added extra protein. Definitely coming back to this spot
This place is always on point, so much so that I had them cater a large event for me and the food got rave reviews!! Thank you!!
So I like share different food experiences with my kids. Well this was a new experience for myself and my kids. For years friends and co workers have told me to try ox tail and curry goat. But most places I saw were dingy and unsanitary looking. But we walked in to a very clean and inviting environment. The owner greeted us and told us about her dishes and answered all our questions as silly as they were. We got our food to go. We got three large portions which was enough to feed six of us. The food was a lovely experience for my whole family and we can’t wait to go back for more and enjoy the taste of the real islands!
