Pleasant surprise! We took a chance and we’re happy we did. Excellent food. Fresh and well seasoned. Polite and friendly staff. We had Curry Goat, Curry chicken and ox tail.

If I could give a zero I would. I presented my self with honesty and integrity not trying to get over on anyone. Just being completely honest informing the so called manager Renee that my ox tail had sooo much fat on it. I told her the food was tasty, outside of the Mac n cheese not being made properly and the beef Pattie’s being super crispy, dry and hard. She acted as though she wanted to help and I told her I was not looking for financial compensation but can they do something about my experience. She tried the defensive role, she tried comparing herself to other locations without thoroughly listening!! I told her I am from up north , Guyanese culture previously had Jamaican cuisine and plenty of other cultures and she tried to insult my intelligence. As I tried to explain I have never paid $20 plus for a oxtail entree ever then receive mainly fat! The point is the cost and quality don’t match! That’s the point, it’s not the money it’s the quality. She started off acting like she cared then she tried telling me they remove all of the fat from the oxtail from the distributor! First of all it’s impossible to remove all of the fat from the oxtail!! She tried to tell me the color of fat as if I don’t know the difference between fat and meat!! I told her I was pregnant and did not want to go back and forward, rather than fixing the problem she tried to spend time being defensive.. after spending over $60 plus on food $23 plus per entree and you talk trash!! I will never recommend or support a business like this. She even threatened to report fraud if I dispute the charge for failure to provide proper services. It just shows the amount of ignorance on her part not know anything about business!!! 7 eleven beef Pattie’s taste better than their beef Pattie’s, it taste like frozen beef Pattie’s out of the box! This is a knock off version of Jamaican food!! Don’t waste your money if you know what real Jamaican cuisine taste like!! This is not it!! Skimp, dry and fatty!!

Staff was friendly and there was plenty of space for seating. The ordering process was a bit slow, and our food took a bit to come out ... but ... everything was delicious. Dining area was clean and well lit. We tried the oxtail, Mac and cheese, chicken wings, beef patties, mango lemonade, and the pineapple soda. We would eat here again. Minus one star for the rest room being out of order and the slow process of order/pickup.

I ordered The Curry chicken and Jerk chicken. Both were amazing! I loved the flavorful bites from the Jerk and the juiciness from the Curry. The island rice is what i really great accent to the proteins not to mention the Cabbage was delicious. Cooked to perfection. If you are in town and want something refreshing and different this is the place to go too. Plenty of food in the large to feed 2. But still deserves a five for being Authentic!!!!!!! P.s. i didnt get a chance to take a pic of the Jerk only because i ate it too quick!!!

Today 07/18/2022 is my first time eating here and I have never been so disappointed. The food Large oxtails and a can soda for $27 looked good until I started digging in flavorless....There is literally no salt /seasonings in this dish.....the two stars are for the placement and the salad.....I think they remembered to Brown the oxtails but not season it......I had to come back and add the fact that I was going to just eat the rice and salad and the rice at the middle of my plate was OVER COOKED so mushy it looked like mashed potatoes... This is one of the worst restaurants I have ever encountered.

Food tasted phenomenal and well prepared with helpful staff. 10/10 will definitely come back and recommend to family. Great price for authentic food!

First time at Jonae’s Island Twist today with my son and a friend. Was greeted very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. Had their jerk chicken with rice plantain and cooked cabbage. So happy I found them. Not many authentic Jamaican food near by me. Looking forward to go again and try some more food.

The food is always fresh & the staff always so friendly & polite. I always come for the jerk chicken or oxtails.. can’t forget the mac & cheese !!

food was edible but I wouldn’t return. Oxtail lacked seasoning & flavor. It didn’t bring and sauce either so it was a little dry. I also expected butter beans, not just meat. Rice was a little bland but the texture was good. Cabbage and plantain were tasty.

The food was disappointing. I got the large oxtail dinner and everything outside the rice tasted bland. Very disappointing, especially for the prices being EXTREMELY high compared to similar restaurants. You can get the same food, better tasting, at other Jamaican restaurants for almost half the price. Also, when I first walked in to give my order, the employees were having a conversation since no one else was there. That didn't bother me at all. What bothered me was when I tried to give my order the employee at the counter told me to WAIT while he finished his conversation. The other employee told him to take our order and was friendly while we waited, but the experience is enough for me to never come back.
