There is a reason this place is so popular. The waterfalls are magnificent and easy to access. Depending on who you bring and their fitness level you can park at the north lot and see two falls and drive to the south, main lot and see a couple more falls with only a couple miles of walking, or you can walk the nine miles or so of the loop and see ten waterfalls. Either way you will have multiple chances to walk behind thundering waterfalls. If you haven't been here, put it on your list as this is one of the places that stands out in your memories, even years later.

This place is amazing, one of the best holes of all times if you are a waterfalls fan. This is one of the places I bring people who haven't hiked in Oregon if I want to impress them. The most parking is at the lodge the other lots can fill up, once you get a few hundred yards from the lodge the crowds for down dramatically. Dogs are only allowed in trails that don't have views, it's not really a pet friendly park.

This waterfall and the surrounding State Park is a must visit for Oregon. There are extensive paved trails making access easy. The falls itself are quite spectacular. The scale of the falls is captured in one of my photos (hint, the little dots are people). There is a lots of parking, though I imagine parking could be tough on very busy days. I drove through one of their campgrounds and it looked great. It's on my list for camping spots this summer.

Really great if you're into waterfalls, just watch out for humans and their debris. Bigfoot habitat, so pack up your trash or be eaten, literally. Perhaps the history of how our great infrastructure built here from almost 100 years ago could use some updating from the Civilian Conservation Corps. Just appreciated the volunteerism that keeps this place running, thank you all!

This is one of the best parks near Salem! If you are in Marion county and want to get out in the mountains this is the place to do it. Tons of waterfalls, miles of trails, and so many trees. Walking behind north falls is incredible, especially when you look up at the ceiling of the falls and see the tree rings of the old forest. It's amazing.
