I've lived in this neighborhood for a year now and this, the nearest grocery store, is my biggest regret. This Smith's location is also the closest one to their corporate office, which leaves me even more bewildered as to why it's consistently unpleasant. They always have security inside but do not monitor their parking lot, which is an unsafe space. People often approach me for money and there are always intoxicated folks hanging around the building and on the grass. Their produce is pitiful, every time I've ended up with items which had to be thrown out within a day or two. The isles seem smaller every time I'm there. This location seems to be arranged differently than the other locations and I can rarely find what I need efficiently, so it's great that many of the staff are very friendly. However, one of my many irritating visits lines were wrapped around the open checkout stands and into the isles but the manager was more interested in flirting with the security person than opening another checkout to help. I was upset by her behavior, and the clearly low morale that all her employees were experiencing, and was not the only one to notice. It became a topic of conversation among those of us waiting and waiting together. Whenever possible, I opt to drive 20+ minutes away to the stores I prefer.

Store is in a lower end part of SLC not horrible as most would say. If you've been any place outside of Utah then you know Rose Park is not a bad area. For the neighborhood store was run well and service was exceptional.

They got a remodeling recently. 24/7!
Staff is great. US Bank inside, which is open on Saturdays! Gas Station has 8 pumps. 

Been going there since High school. Always recommend it to those in the Downtown area.

Since this is so close to work, I frequently end up here on errands. Let me tell you, this store  is Corporate Smith's ugly stepchild. Outdated. Neglected. Overstuffed. Nothing to complain about as far as the quality of purchased goods, but I would never go out my way to go to this location.

We usually find what we need, parking and transients make it a less than desirable place to shop, their produce selection is good, service is good.
