This place in little ol' Saline actually smokes their meats on a wood fired smoker that sits across the street at the old Union School building using locally sourced Cherry Wood. I have found their meats to be pretty incredible and especially like their smoked salmon. The pork is pretty special too!  They make all of their own BBQ sauces, my favorite is the Kansas City classic and they have a pepper sauce kept in back that you have to ask for called Louisiana Bayou Bite. 

This is a family owned and operated business that is locally owned. The owners work 80 plus hours per week. Megen has a real knack for the homemade sides and I have yet to try one I didn't like. The grilled 3 cheese Mac N Cheese is yummy!!

They also put on an excellent weekend
Breakfast that is southern style. Smoked beef brisket hash and smoke salmon eggs Benedict are my families favorites. Oh and the biscuits and gravy and homemade hash browns are heavenly!

My opinion is that this is the best BBQ in Southeast Michigan and compares as good to anywhere I have been in the south!

Service: usually very good but they have a small kitchen and sometimes get slammed with orders. They do a lot of carry out and they also deliver and I have seen the entire place fill up in under 10 minutes.  I have to say though that it is always worth the wait and always spot on!!!  A must try.

Pretty small joint that I never even knew was here. Parking is tough, but that's how it is for every place downtown here. Really friendly staff met us at the door and were helpful with the menu and options. The small size made it feel like all of our interactions with the staff were more genuine. Food was excellent, you could tell it was all freshly made and high quality. Will definitely be going back.

Great BBQ!  A little hard to find until you realize it is at the back of the building that has the address. There is plenty of parking there.  The decor is funky, not fancy, but the food is great. During peak times you may need to wait as there aren't a lot of tables.

Their brisket and pulled pork no longer have smoke flavor whatsoever. The man there told me today that they bake the brisket over night in the oven. $20 a lb. I don't know where some of the other people shop but I don't find that to be inexpensive. It used to be extremely good about 3 to 4 months ago. Just because they're local and the owners will chat with you does not make the food good. They may be friendly but they truly don't know what they're doing it comes to smoked BBQ

 This place is a little hole in the wall and hard to find if you're not familiar with it, but the food is awesome.  Best bbq in the area by far.  Pasties are great, too.
