I believe this location is apart of credit card scams you hear about in Detroit. I ordered a meal that came to 16.94 my card was charged for 169.94. I then see someone behind the counter scribbling on a receipt. When I asks whats going on the manager stops taking store orders over the phone and immediately starts doing something with the card reader... issuing a refund... because I noticed they were doing something funny. I explained it was the night before thanksgiving and I'd planned on using that money for some gifts, it would have been much better for me if they had simply given me the cash. I then pay for the food in cash with exact change. I check my credit card statement... they refunded the 169.94 and charged my card again for the 16.94. .. I have all of the owners information and will be calling to ask for ANOTHER refund of my 16.94. But I will definitely not be back. PLEASE BEWARE. Had I not asked what they were doing I'm sure they would've let me leave without saying a work.

Terrible experience, usually love the food here ! Placed a order for delivery and it took two hours to come, when it finally came after calling 3 times the delivery driver refused to give my receipt when I asked for a refund he was EXTREMELY rude . The food was cold with snow on the bag and everything was soggy/cold. Will not be eating here ever again sadly.

The food all tasted great! Ordered wings, okra, fries and shrimp. Loved all of it!  The price to food ratio was also ON POINT! 
The workers were also very nice. 
We will definitely be patronizing this establishment more often.

I don't know if they're under new management, but they take really long to deliver. Then when you call, they're rude and catch an attitude with you for asking what's the gold up and to call the driver. I don't recommend this place if they're going to be rude like that.

I come here often and always get the 6 piece special since it's always lifted my soul. I'm elevated yet rooted to my seat after finishing a meal from nu wave. The store on Whitaker is good as well but the one on Michigan Ave is great
