Food quality was not the best Smokey Bones I've eaten at, but not the worst. The service, however left a lot to be desired. SB is a little pricey to have service this poor and inattentive. After waiting a few minutes we finally received a lukewarm mumbled greeting from the host who walked off without looking to see if we were following him. We had to ask for silverware after we sat down and were each given a fork wrapped in a napkin. The food was brought out before we realized we had no knives (ribs) or spoons (baked beans) or paper bag (bones.) After we rounded up these items for ourselves (no waitstaff available) and had started eating the waiter finally stopped by to see if we "needed" anything. "Not anymore," I said. "She rounded up the stuff we needed," my husband said and shook the paper bone bag. "Knife and spoon to eat with and a bag for bones." "Ummmmmmm, did you say GAG?" asked the waiter. "No. BAG. Bag for the bones." said my husband. "My wife had to go find a bag---with a 'B'---for our bones." "It sounded like you said GAG.I could have sworn you said gag," continued the server. And so on...if only. A manager did stop by after we were done. She was very sympathetic but didn't offer a discount or comped dessert (we didn't ask.) We requested some wet hand wipes and she got us some. We decided to order dessert on the little table kiosk. Before it was brought out our waiter came by and asked if we wanted to order dessert. "That's okay," my husband said, "it's already on its way."

Not the best food or service. There are way better options available in the area. I went there a couple months ago, slow service and the food was just ok. Went back recently and again the service was very slow and for the price you pay, the food should be way better. When I travel I google restaurants a lot to find good places and read the reviews. Two strikes at this place made me think of warning others that are looking for options in the mid/east Lansing area. There are much better options... keep looking. I won't return for a third strike... and neither will the four other people I was with.

$9.50 for a margarita is insane!!! Had to ask for the garlic bread that the menu said would accompany my brisket which was very chewy. All around not an enjoyable visit, will be a while, if ever, before I return for dinner. They do have the best fried pickles in town.

First time going to this restaurant, and probably the second worse experience in a restaurant I have ever had and that is saying something. Me and my girlfriend order an ap, I got a margarita which took 20 minutes to get to the table, mind you it was so slow they sat us at a both that normally seats 6, and then we ordered burgers and I asked for mine medium rare, now every restaurant I have ever went to the cooks at least have the ability to cook a burger. They sent out my girlfriends burger and it was fine, mine was still frozen and gooey on the inside. So I showed the waiter and he said he would take it back, then came back with another burger same thing still frozen and gooey. He then got sarcastic and disrespectful when he brought the second burger and I showed him again. He said the cooks didnt know how to cook it medium rare....I stared blankly and was dumbfounded that an establishment that sells BBQ everything.....can't cook a burger. Needless to say a waste of a lunch and all they did was pay for the frozen burger I still played over 30$ for a) the other food. Time spent in restaurant over an hour. I do not recommend anyone who wants a burger to go here. The cooking concept is far from being grasped. They must not test the cooks to see if they can cook the easiest thing on planet earth.
