Story

Monday thru Friday breakfast is served from 7:00 am to 11:00 am , lunch from 11:00 to 4:00 pm and dinner from 4:00 to 10:00 pm. Saturday brunch is served from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, and dinner from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Everyday we offer happy hour from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, $1.50 off all glass pour wines and $1.00 off all drafts. We are a scratch kitchen and source many of our products locally. In addition to our menu we offer an extensive wine list, 12 draft micro brews focused on Michigan, and a collection of craft cocktails utilizing our many niche spirits.

This is a wonderful cafe. The menu includes so many unique and taste options. You really can't go wrong with anything. I was here fir brunch on a Friday and there was no wait. Weekend night dinners are another story- there always seems to be a wait, but that shows how great this place is. There is lot parking and street parking available.

Our first visit to soup spoon cafe was great. This second visit not as much. The waiter neglected our table of 3 often. Forgot one of our drinks altogether. I told him we were gluten free and didn’t put in our appetizer with a gluten free request. I am giving 4 stars because the food was still great and averaged with our first visit it is still a great place to eat at.

I can't believe how good this place is. We had dinner there tonight. Everything was fresh, perfectly  cooked, and delicious. The cherry bomb shrimp were perfectly cooked. The crab cakes while good I've had better.  The Ribeye perfectly medium rare, and Halibut that rivaled anything Seattle has to offer. Interesting drink menu and a huge wine and beer selection. A real special occasion restaurant in a casual atmosphere with a varied Mediterranean style menu.  There are many interesting selections from vegan to Waygu beef was okay. Nicely paced, but lacked polish. I think our waiter was learning the ropes. He  was attentive but didn't take care of the details, like refilling water glasses and clearing dishes in a timely  manner. Definitely a place I will return to.

One of my favorite brunch places in East Lansing! Soup Spoon has the best chili (obviously award-winning), assorted omelettes and creme brulee around town! The place is mostly crowded for good reason and getting service can be slow, though the food is very much worth the wait and the staff is warm and friendly! Most of their fare is delicious and it's hard to make a choice, but the breakfast stuff and desserts shine in particular. Great pricing as well, though dinner can be more on the expensive side as usual. Much recommended, but go with some time on your hands, if there on a Saturday morn!

Wished I took some pics of the great small plates w shared. One, the Thai Shrimp, which was a special that evening, was absolutely delicious. Another, the Feta Cheese Points was not to be outdone. Exquisite! The tap list filled the bill, for all four of us, week The Mitten Big Fella, a BBA stout. That, I have a picture of!
