Smooth moves was incredible.  Long story, but my mother was moving to Houston from S.A. and hired a mover who was pulled over and arrested for driving a stolen truck.  The truck (with my elderly mother's entire house inside) was confiscated and impounded.  A friend recommended Smooth Moves, so I called Nate to discuss our predicament.  It took about a week for the truck company to agree to release the contents, but Nate and his crew left Saturday at 8, drove to San Antonio to Penske, unloaded the truck and loaded his truck with everything.  He actually had to repack some things and rent another truck because her movers had packed so badly.   Nate must have known my level of anxiety because he communicated with me and took pictures through the entire process.  They made it back to Houston and worked (patiently) on unpacking mom's stuff into a storage unit with all kinds of hiccups (codes not working, elevators shutting too quickly) till almost midnight.  Nate and his crew worked for over 12 hours and the only additional charge was for the extra moving truck.  I HIGHLY recommend Smooth Moves and plan to use them when Mom moves into her new house.  Great job getting Mom's stuff back!

First class from the second Nate got here.  5 STARS for Smooth Moves Moving Company
This precious guy came to my rescue today and moved me by himself. Nate is professional, capable and has a huge heart. I know he was dog tired too. He went out of his way to help me - beyond the call of duty. He is a class act and deserves more than 5 stars. I more than highly recommend him if you are in the Houston area.  I am so grateful and appreciative for the job he did for me today.  I was in a real bind.

After describing the circumstances on smooth moves Facebook page. They replied with a comment of how unfurtuinate  is to hear. I called right away hoping he would make this right. He did not answer and made the page private so I can't make comments.

In full disclosure I have not used "smooth moves" so I cannot make a comment on the company as a whole. However I can speak on the character of Nathaniel Campbell. On October 21 Nate ran into my parked  truck and permanently damaged my 32 foot extension ladder. I made the mistake of not asking for insurance. Since there was no damage to my truck , The latter cost between $300 to $400, and Nate said he was the owner of the company I took him at his word. He asked me to send pictures and a price on a new ladder ( I did ) . On October 26 Nate said I would receive payment in 10 days( I have not received payment ) . On November 14 Nate said he would be back in town on November 17 and would check the status of payment. That was the last time I heard from him. I have made several attempts via email , text , and phone calls to reach him. He is now completely ignoring me. He understands he damaged the latter and even offered payment ( all chronicled in our text or email conversations). This is a clear representation of his character and business ethics. Be cautious of hiring him because if something were to go wrong he may just ignore the problem. As a business owner myself I fully understand accidents happen. But it's how you handle accidents and adversity that really shows what kind of company you run.

Best moving company with the best crew in town - you will not be disappointed. They also accommodated us with our situation of needing to store all of our possessions overnight. As the owner Nate put it to me "you worry about closing your home, don't worry about the move, we'll take care of the move", and they did and did an excellent job. I highly recommend these guys, they were professional throughout the whole process and took the worry out of moving. Great job! Smooth Moves.
