I had Tim (the owner and only employee) over at Snake River Car Care work on my truck and car. He replaced the starter on my truck and did a great job at a fair price. My wife and I bought our 16 year old an older 1997 Ford Taurus for her birthday. The car was her first and it needed some work done. I decided to use Snake River Car Care again because he did a great job and seemed to be a nice guy. I dropped off the car and ordered the part. The part came in and I dropped it off to Tim. It took Tim a few days to work on it which was fine because we were not in a big rush. When it was done I came to pick it up and the driver’s side passenger door as well as the back panel was crushed in. I went inside and told Tim, he came out and apologized and he said he would ask his neighbor if the outside security camera caught anything because he did not have one. I asked him the next day and he said the camera does not face towards his building.  He said he would get an estimate from his other neighbor that has an auto body shop. He told us it was close to $2,000.  My wife and I asked about his insurance and he said if we filed a claim it would ruin his business. My wife and I decided to allow him to try and fix the dents and door his self. He left on vacation to Florida for a week and we waited to drop the car off again. When he got back we dropped off the car and he had it for over a week and he could not get the door off. He suggested that we wait for his friend in Boise to come down in three weeks to help. My daughter started a summer job and needed the car so we asked if we could go through his insurance. We called the insurance and they said he had just started with them this month (June 2017) and gave us the info for his last insurance company, we called them and he had cancelled the policy in August of 2016. He has yet to provide us with the insurance company (that he had from August 2016 to June 2017) so they can be contacted. While this is going on he said he would fix some other issues with the car for free as long as we buy the parts. I figured this was okay because he does not have to dish out $1800 to an auto body shop. I wrote up a contract which was fair and gave it to him to sign, this never happened. We picked up our car on June 19, 2017 because we are fed up with waiting. He is now accusing us of causing the damage and trying to get free work from him. He also told his insurance company that we refused to allow him to fix the door. I bought a door for him to replace the old one. I was not going to ask him for anything else once the door was replaced because we just wanted this over with. He said he damage could have happened before we brought it in and that we are taking advantage of him. He also said we could sue him but he has so many people that will back him up that we would not win. He also stated that he was closing down in a month because of people like my wife and I. He also said we should have taken a picture when we dropped it off. Who does that? He said we should be ashamed of ourselves for buying an old car that needed a ton of repairs for our 16 year old. Why would I damage an old car just to have him repair it? The other side had a dent, why would I not have damaged that side? The door was functioning just fine before I took it to Snake River Car Care. Please look at the pictures and decide for yourself. Look where he parks the customer’s cars over the weekend. Notice all the big rigs that are next door? He even said a farmer drives his tractor through the so called parking area. I just can’t believe a business owner who started out so friendly would completely turn it around on his customer. He also said that we can post whatever cause it is my word against his and he doesn’t need to worry about reviews. If you use him, please do not let him leave your car outside, way to many large trucks come through.

I wanted to extend a thank you and true appreciation for the work you did for me over Christmas to get me back on the road to Seattle WA. In diagnosing and repairing my 2012 Mercedes-benz – you were extremely fair and honest throughout the process. In this age of big box stores and instant information, it’s refreshing to see top-notch customer service (honestly better than the Mercedes dealership) from a local family-owned shop. I now understand why your lot is full and the shop is constantly busy – you should be proud of the business you run. Thanks again from a satisfied customer.

Failure to correct damage done to vehicle in own lot. Rude and lacked proper customer service.

Tim is very honest and put 110% into his shop. He is very good at getting to the problem and getting you back on the road. He stand behind all of his work . I recommend him for all you car needs.

He is a great person to work with. He will do all that he can to solve the problem. He has spent hours trying to slove the mystry on my husband's truck and sloved the problem without giving up or making something up.
