My wife and I joined Snap Fitness about a month ago and we very much enjoy going there. The amount of equipment available is excellent, the type of different exercises you can do is excellent, and the manager, Derek, does a terrific job of welcoming people and helping them out. We would recommend anyone try Snap Fitness... particularly the one we go to on Michigan Avenue.

Snap Fitness is great for me as it provides the minimum requirement of equipment with 24 hour access. With my schedule, early mornings work best and the local Y isn't even open that early. This location is clean, well maintained, and the staff is very courteous. I've only had one issue since joining (2 months ago) and they took care of it right away.

Clean and simple gym. The staff is always friendly. The showers are typically well maintained. It can get fairly cramped with the limited amount of space.

I recently started coming here after working out at the YMCA downtown. This gym is significantly cheaper, and worth the price reduction. However, if you are coming from a gym as nice as the Y, just don't be surprised by the difference. The machines aren't bolted to the floor, they creak and move when lifting the weights (specifically the pulley tower and lat pull-down machine). Another small gripe I have is that the tower pulley machine does not have the weight in lbs on the weights themselves, just some odd number system. The space is adequate for what one needs to work out, the staff have been friendly when I've seen them. It is worth the money, but just be aware that the facilities could use some sprucing up and could be safer.

Private, no one bothers you, 24 hours a day and the staff is awesome. Can't beat it.
