My husband and I have been members at Fitness 19 for several years. We love the Grand Rapids location -- especially with the new expansion. The staff is very friendly, the personal trainers are energetic and caring and you always see staff helping people and walking around cleaning the facility. Both of us have been weight training for as long as I can remember and this gym has everything we need! I would recommend this location to anyone :)

Recently updated and added showers and a lot of new equipment. Whether you want to do some cardio, light cable machines, this gym has it all. The one thing that would get it five stars is a bigger space for some classes.

Been with this gym for about a month and a half. In comparison to other gyms I've belonged to, I'd say this one is decent for variety of equipment offered. However, space is certainly an issue. The pictures that are posted are taken with a wide lense, so it's deceiving smaller than what you'd first expect. There is certainly a lot of cardiovascular equipment, so no knock there. From what I'm told, they're taking over another unit, adjacent to their location. So, they should be expanding, soon. But, it doesn't help right now when I have to hit a run of luck to secure some time on the ONE bench press (for example) they have when this place floods with people. I'd also say some of their equipment is packed in WAY too tight. Just trying to rack weights on their leg press with about a foot and a half of egress between the machine and wall is somewhat difficult and potentially dangerous with what some gym members put/leave on the floor, there. They're cleanliness is nothing like I've ever seen before. They really do clean the entire facility, daily; from what I've seen. They usually do it in the morning when they open. So, huge plus. Their daycare is also adequate. I've used it once and didn't have any concerns after the fact.
