Don’t make phone appointments!! They lie and say you missed them and it takes over a month to reschedule. Qualified for having a 1 pound premature baby. He was born mid August. Called early September when i was discharged from the hospital for an appointment. After an hour+ wait on hold was told to go to the Fenton office as a walk in. Went. After an hour+ wait, told to make a phone appointment. It was for late October at 11am. They called at 2pm and said they didn’t have time to do my phone appointment, they would call later. Never called. 3 days later, called SSI with an hour+ wait. They said I “missed my appointment.” Had to reschedule for late November. This time I made it for in the office. All of this for $30 a month?? Plus, I’ve lost all that time with my new baby. He will be discharged from the NICU before they ever do the right thing.

If I could give no stars I would. I drove 30 mins to get here and just sat in a chair for almost an hr to get a replacement ss card for my 4 yr old son and was turned away because I didn't have a photo ID for him. I am beyond pissed. I had my id, ss card birth certificate for my child and was still turned away. I will never refer this office to anyone

15 minutes to an hour wait??? Seriously. Plan 2 hours! Most inefficient example of government at its finest. Two windows open...wait hour to get number called...one window closes (lunch break)...number called..."someone will call you, please have a seat"...30 people in waiting area...45 minute wait for a person to see you for 5 minutes to answer questions or fill out form...have a nice day! Later tried calling for answer to question...you are in the queue. Wait time 55 minutes...while waiting for 20 minutes...get cut off! ARRRGGGG!...call back..."Sorry, our agents are busy, call back...click!!!

Very efficient and courteous staff. Have never waited longer than 30 minutes, even when the place is full. Very knowledgeable and fast in solving issues. The best government office I have ever encountered.
