SeaTac's sleek, mid-century modern design has saddled the airport with a grossly inadequate roadway infrastructure to handle today's traffic demands. The entrance to Arrivals, Departures and Short-Term Parking is also shared with taxi, limo and Uber-like service, as well as, all of the long-term parking, rental car and off-site shuttles serving the airport, creating an unbelievable traffic bottleneck during busy time periods -- especially during the holidays that can't be resolved without tearing down the current parking structure. Located on the edge of the main parking garage, the Light Rail provides an excellent alternative on the peripheral of this traffic nightmare, but requires passengers to add significant walking time to their planning.

I ride the sounder train to work, it is simply one of the worst things someone should have to do. The only reason I do is because it is payed for by my company. If you have meetings, classes, times you have to clock in, do not ride the train its that simple. It's constantly late, if not cancelled. The funniest/worst thing about it all is that they preach communication with the people who sign up for their texts/email notifications, then send out alerts hours too late if at all. The cars are dirty and cramped, it's either way too hot or way too cold and the PA system in the cars rarely works. If Sound Transit is supposed to be here to alleviate commuting stress and cars on the road they better invest some serious money on fixing some very basic things like dependability if they expect people to continue to use the train. I've heard all the excuses before, "it's not our fault", "bnsf runs the rails, they have priority", on and on. Frankly, I don't care. If you are going to run a business you need to take a little pride and take care of your customers. At no job can you show up late, if at all, not be fully functioning, and blame it on other people and keep your job, but clearly that's the standard at Sound Transit. This company needs a wake up call and maybe a change in management.

When you absolutely, positively, MUST be somewhere... just take the time it normally takes you to drive there and multiply it by 3 to equal your mass transit time. Then, be sure you know when and where to take the train back home because they don't run all day or even at night.

There are delays every single week. Some times they don't even bother explaining why your half an hour late. You just help hostage in a train car.

If you want to be treated rudely or be late for work, sound transit is the way to go! I have only met one or two drivers that were polite and/or awesome. The rest have been rude and lazy. I tale this service 5 days a week to get to work.and when i complained about them making me late, they told me to take an earlier bus. The thing is, i already leave an hour before i should have to. So don't count on any issues being resolved either. The lady (i use the term loosely) who emails you back is just as bad! She doesn't even read the whole email.
