I remembered putting my review years ago about a certain counselor ( blonde female new at that time, awful, ms shepherd I think..idk) but it's not here anymore. Bad class placement and refusal to help.. Barely survived the first few years.. rampant bullying and depression plus awful teachers that I still have a grudge on. I'm lucky that I found good friends later on, who helped me endure this school though not everyone was as lucky as me.

I currently go to the middle school, but I have met some high schoolers who seem nice, but then again, I don't go to the high school, so I can't say much. However, I have been to 2-3 football games at South County, and I do believe the crowd control needs to be better, but I am not saying that there is no effort to control the crowd, it's just not efficient.

I DO NOT GO HERE, but I do got to Mount Vernon High School. Last year (2015-2016) my school's JV Girls Basketball team played against them, and the SC girls (a team of mostly white girls, and two black girls at the time) called the MV girls (mostly black, a few white) the N word, I don't know what posses those girls to say that. I know that the school has a white majority and black minority, but that doesn't excuse their racism, it doesn't matter what was going on at the time there is NEVER an excuse for being racist! I'm NOT saying that the whole school is racist, because I know people who go there that aren't racist. However, there is racism in that school which needs to be addressed, I don't know if they're just too privileged to understand racism, but it doesn't matter. The school needs to address racism and crack down on any students that are racist. That's why I'm glad that MVHS is more culturally diverse, because we have a better understanding of racism that racism isn't really an issue.

I went to this school since 8th grade, being it had been a secondary school. All 5 years I had been bullied by many students. I had also been bullied by teachers. When I informed the staff about being bullied all they did was tell the students I told on them and said for them not to bully me, which made things a lot worse. I had been choked by a student and that student only got 3 days suspension. There are only very few people at this school that aren't two-faced. Whenever I left class or wasn't there, the students talked bad about me and the teachers would bully students also and said nothing to bullys. Horrible school experience. please don't torture your kids by making them go to such a horrible and unorganized school.

The food is so unhealthy, it also is a very small portion.  I was disappointed when I went to the school. I thought it was a rich/well-funded school.  The teachers also did not appreciate  student requests to repeat  because the student was struggling. Please spare yourselves from the school. Thank you for your time.
