Story

South Florida School of Excellence - General & Special Education - Gifted & Autism Center is a first Miami Lakes clinical / educational school perfectly designed as an independent, non-sectarian, and co-educational school for grades Pre-K3 through 12th grades with the capacity of 300 students.
The school is 24,373 square feet in size, occupying one floor. The facility layout accommodate a logical separation of the (Pre-k3 & Pre- K4), elementary (Kg-5th), middle (6th-8th), high school (9th -12th), (Special Needs), (Autism Center), and (Gifted-STEAM) grades.

The school includes appropriate indoor recreational areas and outdoor recreational park visits to local Miami Lakes Optimist Park for daily Physical Education.

School offers clubs, organizations, and multiple extracurricular activities on and off campus likewise, Environmental Club, Science Fair Club, Publishing Center, Safety Patrols, Student Council, Music, Chorus, Drama, Dance, Gymnastics, Arts, Karate and Soccer Club.

The school is dedicated to serving the educational and social emotional needs of all students, including: those who are Average, At Risk, have Disabilities, Gifted, and who have been identified as Autistic. The South Florida School of Excellence is the first and only “One Stop Shop” clinical/educational setting in South Florida. The School will provide well structured, academically focused classes with high rigor curricula for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM), Project Based Learning (PBL) and Community Based Learning (CBL) skills for college readiness. Instructions offers a unique combination of personalized curriculum from highly qualified special needs instructors and assistive therapies from certified contracted professionals to comprehensively serve the intellectual, physical, and emotional needs of every general and special needs student.

Program dedicated to the education of South Florida School of Excellence special needs students with specific learning disability, Autism, Emotional Behavior Disorder and Developmental Disabilities.

The curriculum is designed to equip students with passion and tools to begin innovative and world changing pursuits after they leave the school and become the contributing member of the society of the 21st century.
