I had a really great experience here with this dental group, despite the fact that I had two root canals (YUK!!) ;-) I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, and the oral surgeon that performed my work was very caring and quick with the procedure. I had very little pain and it was taken care of quickly. Dr. Carpio was extremely thorough with the explanations of the work I needed on my teeth and made sure I was comfortable with all the procedures. Wish I wasn't moving to another state - I would definitely return for all my future dental work.

My wife saw Dr. Judge 3 years ago right before we moved for 2 root canals. In a recent dental visit her dentist saw on x-ray where the crown has a large space in it. There is no other option than to pay another nearly thousand dollars to replace the crown. After already paying that much 3 years ago it is absurd that the crown has failed. Dr. Judge also gave her a retainer before we moved and within a week of moving the retainer cracked. I would recommend that people steer clear of this office. These are too costly of mistakes to overlook.

MONEY MONEY MONEY! That is ALL these people want! I went once or twice several years ago, and even though I had dental insurance, the prices that they quoted me were OUTRAGEOUS! I began going to Tijuana for dental work, because it is literally 66%+ cheaper. Yeah, it's a bit of a pain because I live all the way in Oceanside--but it's worth it. I recently got an implant, and the crown just became a bit loose, so instead of going all the way back to TJ, I contacted South Oceanside Dental. The lady said that they would have to take x-rays. I told her that it was unnecessary to do so, because the dentists JUST took x-rays last week, and everything was ship-shape, but she insisted. The whole procedure, which would be a very quick and simple one, would run me a little over $200. I contact Dr. Willis in Encinitas, and they're going to re-set it for $60. I will never go to SOD again, and I would NEVER EVER refer anyone to them! The staff is pleasant for sure, and the place is incredibly clean. They have state-of-the-art equipment and can create a tooth on the spot! Everything is white and sterile. If I had the ability to throw money away, I would definitely go to them. And most dental insurance doesn't cover much. TJ is for me.

Why FIVE STARS for this Dental Group? Well sorry, It's actually for my DENTIST! Dr. Emiliano Carpio and his little helpers! ☺️ He came down somewhere up from the Galaxy to come and save the Art of Dentistry from flaky, conceited old timer dentists! Js Lol 😂 From the start, he welcomed me like I'm one of his Family! He listens ( it's the main character that most dentists failed to maintain along with their careers.) He's very cheerful and very enthusiastic! Hes like a younger brother to me. (For those who doesn't like younger Dentists, Hey! This is your chance to experience the difference of Dr. Carpio! Besides of him being a young Dentist. As to my opinion I'll probably could say that I'm proud to have met him! I saw his ingenuity of care to all of us,his patients! He is Good! His work, I can guarantee from my own experience. He is like an angel tiptoeing on my teeth!! Just recently, while he was making all kinds of drilling in my mouth.... My body flinched! He quickly moved his tools away from my mouth & asked me if I was ok?... I was too embarrassed to say but I apologized to him and his crew.. ( I fell asleep, and i think was already dreaming, LOL and my body was so relaxed that It jolted!) 🤣😆 DR . EMILIANO CARPIO, he is my Young Dentist!! And I will keep coming back for him and his young helpers. I decline to make comments in regards to his co-workers .. Though, all I can say that there's a Dentist who strongly told me that she is "DOCTOR so and so" She Didnt hear me addressing her title at first coz I was trying to recall her first name. I know she got back at me back discreetly. She injected the numbing Med to fast in my pallet that I felt the layer of my skin balling big... (I just cried) but I didn't say anything to anyone except to my dentist. If only my dental contract was not tied up... I will definitely find someone else! She the Doc femme needs more learning with Pt's Care101.... goodluck to all and Smile! ☺️

Clean facility with friendly staff. I saw Dr Carpio (?) in a last minute decision bc the dentist office I had just been to was making up fake codes not recognized by the Dental Assc. (confirmed with my insurance co.) and wanted to charge me a lot of money. Dr Carpio perform a far less invasive procedure without unnecessarily over charging me & he did an excellent job. I loath dentist offices but will gladly see him again, as well as recommend him specifically. I see all these reviews about Dr Judge, I feel for those patients bc I've dealt with stuff like that in the past. Dr Carpio is no Dr Judge.
