Dr. Mahar is absolutely fantastic! He did an extraction for one of my kids and an implant for me. In both situations, he was very thorough in his explanations of the procedures and patient in answering questions. His bedside manner is superb! He took the time to get to know my daughter and to put her mind at ease...and he even called to personally check on her after we went home following the extraction. Both procedures were done with the utmost of care and next to no discomfort. The entire staff is kind, friendly and accommodating. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Mahar and will definitely be returning for any future procedures.

Dr Dan Mahar is wonderful. He was very kind to my son when having his wisdom teeth out, calmly explaining the procedure without giving too much detail. He was timely with his appointments and his follow-up post surgery was amazing! Highly recommend Dr Dan Mahar and his staff - they are very friendly & helpful!

I highly recommend Dr. Mahar's office. The overall experience was incredibly positive. Dr. Mahar's office staff took the time to work with me to ensure a good understanding of the financial aspects of my procedure. Dr. Mahar was willing to take as much time as I needed to answer questions about the procedure itself. The office itself is very inviting and the staff puts you at ease. Dr. Mahar followed up the night after the procedure with a personal phone call to ensure that everything was going well. I cannot speak highly enough of the professionalism of the entire staff.

First and foremost, the front office staff were very courteous and polite! On the day of my surgery, I got to the office, and they got me right back. The dental hygienist was great, caring, and friendly. They were very thorough in explaining how they were going to remove my wisdom teeth and answered any questions that I had. I drifted off to sleep rather quickly and before I knew it I was awake and in recovery ready to go home! They made sure I had all instructions for post surgery care, as well as any prescriptions that I needed. They did a GREAT job overall, AND Dr.Mahar himself even called me the night I had my procedure done to check on me and make sure I was doing alright and answered any questions I had. I highly recommend South Wake oral surgery to anyone in need of wisdom teeth removal etc., they did a great job!

I never write reviews but I felt it was warranted in this case because the overall experience was surprisingly delightful. I was referred by my dentist across the street in Fuquay. I was able to schedule an initial consultation quickly and the surgery soon after. Dr. Mahar and his entire staff were all very friendly and professional. Dr. Mahar explained my procedure well and promptly put me at ease. The day of surgery went just as well. Later that evening, after a smooth surgery and returning home I received a call from Dr. Mahar checking on my satisfaction and progress.
