My sons and I have been going to Southbridge dental for over 5 years. We have all had positive experiences. Dr. England, the Hygienists, and the rest of the staff are quite pleasant and always try to give the highest level of care. There is some truth to the comments that "selling" is being done. However, I would clarify that by saying that the whole team explains the option of a product or service, tells us as the patient how it may benefit us, also tells us any risk it may pose, and ultimately leaves the decision in our (the patient) hands. I appreciate that level of clear communication.

My whole family and I have been going here for 3 to 4 years now. I have never had one issue with anything. The only thing I can think of that they ask about doing is fluoride and I tell them not today if I don't want it. Other than that I have never had them ask me to buy extra things. In fact once when I was having a crown done and my temporary fell out (because I was chewing gum) he met me on a Saturday to fix it and was very kind about it. I'm frankly shocked to hear some of these things and I just don't see any of it when we go there. We are so pleased with Dr. England and his staff!

I have been going to this dentist since it opened, and I LOVE them. Every time I go in there they are so friendly and nice. They never try to sell extra things to me, and I never feel pressured to go forward with anything they recommend. All the work that I have had done there has never had to be replaced, and I will certainly continue to go back.

I have had it with this place. I have had nothing but crappy work. The constant selling of services, products I don't need. As soon as I can I am finding a new dentist.

My son and I went to Southbridge for over a year. I feel they are more interested in selling extra products (Sonicare Toothbrushes) than providing the best service. While the Hygenists do a decent job, I have a very uncomfortable feeling about all the selling done while I'm "in the chair". I have fairly healthy teeth, but rarely walk out without being told I need something: a small filling, sealant, floride treatment, mouth gards, sonic toothbrush, etc. etc. Also, should you need to cancel an appointment, there is a $50 cancellation fee that "may be waivered" depending on circumstances. Not sure a legit Dentist would have to charge cancellation fees to generate revenue, and I wonder why so many are cancelling. I'd recommend finding a different dentist in the area, there are plenty to choose from.
