So I have eaten here before and the 2 previous times it was excellent. This time it was just okay across the board. There was like a little something on each of our meals that seemed off. The chicken soup was extra spicy, the waffle from the chicken and waffles was on the burnt side and chicken on the hard side, the short ribs there was a LOT of sauce and I like sauce but it was just too much also the carrots were super hard with just a black char line, the short ribs themselves were delicious but I couldn’t finish the mashed potatoes and carrots, the fried green tomatoes were very thick like a full inch thick it was too much, the chicken fingers were a win, the sauce for the chicken and waffles was a win also. I would defiantly come back again as in the past I’ve loved it and I know right now it’s super hard to find staff and that can affect consistency. Presentation was good and staff was super nice.
We moved down here a few months ago and we are still exploring the area and all the great food Naples has to offer. Southern was one of the first places we stumbled across and we have been coming back ever since. The patio is simply amazing. You can overlook the water, watch the planes come in and take off, watch the sunset all while enjoying delicious food! They recently redid their menu and took some of our favorites off it very sad about this but nonetheless, the food and vibe is still one to check out!
Mike was wonderful this morning! Their brunch menu is expansive. We tried the Jambalaya Spring Rolls which were AmaZing. FYI:That pancake was HUGE! Definitely recommend. We can't wait to come back another time for dinner! Vegetarian options: Blue-Zone Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
Enjoyed a great brunch here . To start we shared an order of pecan cornbread with warm bourbon praline sauce, followed by orders of fried chicken on biscuits with sausage gravy, and possibly the best chicken and waffles I have ever had!
Went for the fried chicken, it was one of the crispness chicken I've had, unfortunately it was tasteless. The coleslaw was equally as tasteless. The mashed potatoes and gravy were good and the biscuit was good. They have a raw bar and I tried to order clams then oysters on the half shell, they didn't have any. I asked for unsweetened tea, they only had sweet. I could get a better meal at jack in the box for 1/3 of the price but I don't eat there either. I would not recommend eating here, the only offering they have is a lovely environment. I'm rarely this disappointed
My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant while on a business trip and it was a decent experience. I ordered the crab cakes and an alcoholic drink and my boyfriend ordered wings and fries. My crab cakes were really good but the wings were not. They were crispy which were the only good thing about them. There was no seasoning to those wings and there were only 2 flavors to choose from. When we walked the hostess told us it was happy hour and it was before 3pm so their dinner menu was not up yet so it was mainly just appetizers for order. When we received the check we were charged regular price for the alcoholic drinks then our waiter told us happy our was only at the bar but when another group of women were seater at a table not too far from us he told them about the happy hour specials. Decent experience for the first time, not the best.

Breakfast is very good here! I enjoyed the lobster and shrimp omelette along with the French toast. Both were fantastic and the service was pretty good. Will return here again
Service was a little slow and lackluster at the beginning - I'm thinking maybe they weren't exactly prepared for all the people who showed up on July 4? Not sure. The hostess kept checking on us, as if she knew that our server, GaGa, was a little overwhelmed at the beginning, but after our food came out, her demeanor seemed to improve. They serve fried green tomatoes layered with slices of fresh mozzarella topped with pimiento cheese, and it can best be described as a "Southern Caprese" salad with the way they present it. I'm not a big fan of ranch dressing, so instead of the ranch that comes with it, I asked for the cajun remoulade that they serve with the shrimp po boy - I don't know WHY they wouldn't include this as the accompanying sauce with these flavors, as ranch dressing with all of these other flavors just would not be as good. And if you like a little spice, this is definitely the way to go. It's a good meal if you normally don't eat big meals. The shrimp and grits were equally good, with nice heat in the chipotle sauce. Shrimp were nicely grilled, tails on, so be advised. Would certainly appreciate if they removed the tails so you could just spear one with a fork and bite of grits, but they look like when they come out that way. Also ordered a side of biscuits and gravy with the bourbon butter. Biscuits and gravy are excellent, but with dinner, the bourbon butter was way too sweet. However, I can absolutely see them serving that with pancakes or waffles or something and it being fantastic. EDIT: second trip, Juan I believe was our server. He was great. I ordered the fried green tomatoes again and told him that I wanted the cajun remoulade instead of ranch; he agreed that sounded good and said he'd pass along suggestion to chef. You'll note that the pictures of the fried green tomatoes are from two different trips, and the "prettier" one is because it came plated from the kitchen with the remoulade on it already. Husband ordered meatloaf and said it was fantastic. Said it reminded him of his grandmother's. Now THAT is a compliment. We LOVE this place. I really want to try other items off this menu, but I know that I'll likely never do it because this dish of fried green tomatoes layered with fresh mozzarella and pimiento cheese calls out to me now.
Excellent service! Mike took care of us. He was friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and a generous size served. This is one place you want to visit when you are in the area.
