This was our third visit, our last being about 2 years ago. Server was friendly. We came in around 5 and place was not too busy. App came out within 5 min and did not feel hot. The entree and pizza took about 35 minutes. Overall tasted fresh and homemade. Could be a bit expensive but acceptable range. Nice atmosphere. The place started to get busy around 6.
I have absolutely no complaints! We were one of the first in the door and were greeted with a smiling face and given the option to sit anywhere! Prompt service followed where they took our drink orders and offered suggestions. The drink I ordered I had never had before, the waiter offered to wait to see if I enjoyed it... If not he would have given a replacement! The food was absolutely amazing and the drinks were strong. A classy establishment. Will be back!
I brought a large group to taste the new executive chef Jessie Gomez’s specials and WOW were we blown away!! Our table couldn’t stop raving about the quality of food and service we received from Auburn!! From the hostess to the guys clearing the tables everyone was so friendly, sharply dressed and most importantly a smile on their faces. We had not a want or need that wasn’t met. A truly FANTASTIC experience! Special s/o to Dakota their beverage manager who introduced us to some fabulous spirits and took great care of us the whole night. Lastly, if a restaurant is lucky they will have team members like Maki who elevated our evening from the second we walked in. 10/10 Pete would be so proud!
The atmosphere and the service was fine. It seemed like they were a little understaffed but our food came out in a timely manner. The food made up for that. It was delicious. Some of the best Italian I’ve had in OKC. We ordered Caesar salads and the 100 Layer Lasagna. Can’t recommend enough!
My wife and I made our first visit the other night and it was great! The menu has a lot of options and food was excellent. The staff was courteous and professional and we will be going back on a regular basis.
I took my mom last night to continue her birthday festivities, trying to make the most of my time with her early onset alzheimers. Our server was patient, knowledgeable, and we had the best time! She had the seafood risotto, which was absolutely delicious while I had the shrimp pasta in vodka sauce, also delicious, pleasantly spicier than I expected. Additionally, the servings were enough to take some leftovers. The wine selection was extensive, although I should have picked my meal first to pair my wine better, but that's my fault. Furthermore if you're looking for gluten-free free options they have gluten-free pasta available and the salmon is gluten-free free as well. I definitely would recommend giving this place a try.
I've been coming to Sparrow Modern Italian for over a year now and I can honestly say it's my favorite restaurant. The food tastes fresh and homemade, and the friendly service makes it a great place to visit. The atmosphere is also very nice. The only downside is that they can be a bit slow to refill water glasses. Overall, I highly recommend Sparrow Modern Italian!
Great first time experience. Seated quickly. Greeted also as soon as we reached our table. Wait staff very efficient and helpful in our questions. Caesar salad was outstanding, as well as the Seafood Rositta. Nice evening with family.
Walked in was asked if we have a reservation. I did not. Turns out it’s wine night which is not stated online. Dressed very casual and the hostess and server said it’s $55 per person is that fine. Very condescending tone. As someone who deals with customers you’re not supposed to judge a customer based on what they are wearing. The menu consisted of 5 things 3 of which were sea food so decided to go elsewhere and were told okay go find somewhere else then. Gladly will go elsewhere.
We absolutely love their food. It's creative and not typical Italian. Their 100 layer lasagna it's not what it sounds like is a refreshing take on traditional lasagna. It's so amazingly flavorful - we get it every single time. They also have great craft cocktails. The service is always impeccable!
