We have been going to Dr. Spilker for years.  I am shocked seeing the comments about the staff being rude because every single person I have talked to on the the phone or face-to-face has been nothing but kind, every time - to me and to every member of my family.  I love that Dr. Spilker is like a doctor from a bygone era. He actually reads your file before meeting with you.  He also doesn't just over-prescribe stuff. If he has ideas how to help treat you via OTC medication or changes in routine/lifestyle, he will recommend those first.  Heck, I've even had him answer the office phone himself before.  We have not had any issues getting in for a same-day appointment when we have needed one due to illness.

My experiences with Dr. Spilker have been excellent.  For a number of years I got required physicals through work and so my visits to his office were for few and far-between ailments.  His office was always very receptive and usually got me in the same day so some of the reviews stating that the front office was unreceptive to making appointments is confusing to me.  (It also doesn't make sense that they would turn away new patients (i.e. money) unless their patient lists were full, and then it seems that they would just say that.)  He tends to be conservative, so if there is any abnormality or deviation in test results, he is prone to suggesting a followup by a specialist.  However, he is not one to push the panic button either nor does he seem to suggest tests just to pad the insurance claim.  One warning though:  beware the obligatory joke!

I saw the doctor over a year ago and I was looking for a new primary care physician. I had another appointment with a 2nd primary care physician also. Doctor spilker did a physical and blood work and told me everything was fine. The second doctor told me something totally different. And I am a cancer survivor at this time. Needless to say I went with the second doctor and was going to leave it at that. Well yesterday I received a call to verify an appointment for Monday. I told the lady that I didn't make the appointment and she told me I did and she talked to me.after explaining that I have been with Kiser scents Jan 1 2017 and it wasn't me she was very rude and told me yes it was you that made the appointment multiple times. I was appalled by her behavior. The doc is a nice man but the woman at the front desk is a work of art and that is putting it nicely

Poor customer service. I called to schedule an appointment but refused to see me. I wasn't seen there in quite some time because I was not sick. Since the Doc was out of the office, I went to a doc in the box because I had pneumonia. Still wasn't feeling better so decided to go back to this Doctor where I had all my info going from other Doctor's. I had been seen here in the past. Wouldn't set up an appointment. Beware if you have not been seen in a while they will delete you from there system. I would not recommend anyone seeing this Doctor!!

I called to make a new patient appointment and the lady was extremely rude!! She hung up on me mid question. I was so put off that I called back to cancel the appointment because of her rudeness. She again hung up on me!! Unbelievable.
