Most of the  HE washers have a foul odor coming from  them, so strong you smell them just by standing near an open one. When one of the machienes ate change but stopped accepting the rest of the wash fee, the attendant stated there was no way to refund the lost money. They were kind enough to open the door on the way out as I wrangled the laundry cart though.

Almost every experience I have had at the richmond location or the past 3 years has been pleasant  until today. I wash my clothes here weekly and was called by a young man who's name starts with M he didn't say bit ckearly, buy very quickly told me I I was going to pick them up have exact change since their card machine was broke . I only had bills, and when I arrived he told me I had to give him the coins or I could not have my laundry.  Normally I tip the girl who work there well for their efforts but this young man refused to break a bill for me and when I said the girls usually have a quarter bag he got very loud and rude. I was angered so I said ok never mind, went to my car to get change in nickless when I walked back in he was on the phone with the manager throwing his coworkers under the bus. His utter lack of respect for customers who are frequently there and his own coworkers shows poor upbringing and mannners. I will not be doing buisiness with this establishment the if he is working when I come by again. Every other girl working there is beyond do helpful, sweet very pleasant to speak to and seems happy to be there. They do not deserve to be slandered by one disgruntled, rude employee.

I am a former employee and I have finally decided to empty my conscious about this business. Never in my years of working have I been degraded, belittled, or treated as poorly as I have been by the upper management of any business or company as I have been in my time working here. 
When I first applied for the job, I was aware of the high turnover rate for employees, but I desperately needed a job, so I took it. As a customer, before working at this place, I would see the attendants smoking or talking on their phones, but they were all for the most part very friendly otherwise. Except one, which I'll get to soon.
Throughout my years of coming here, I am a Richmond native, so it's been a while, I have seen attendants come and go, rarely staying for over a month before quitting, curious of why they quit so frequently, I started asking why, and they told me everything I am about to tell you from my own experience working here.
• The company itself seems to be very sexist, I have yet to see a male employee, and I know that plenty apply.
• Attendants are trained for up to (rarely,) 3 days, (in my case, I got 4 hours of training before they threw me into the water, having me work a 9 hour shift by myself.) At that point, you're nervous, afraid of making mistakes, and most customers don't understand that for the most part, you don't know what you're doing, you're running around like a chicken with your head cut off, just doing your best.
• You will often be asked to work a 15 hour shift, which at $8 an hour with no overtime, is not worth working all day long with only one 30 minute lunch break.
• I often came home in tears from things said to me by another employee, cried before having to go to work in fear I would see her, and nobody should hate their job that bad.
• I burned myself very badly once while working here and there was no first aid kit, which I'm pretty sure is illegal.
• Employees are often expected to use personal time and money on the store, as in the owners won't keep the bathroom stocked with toilet paper, or paper towels, or if a light bulb blows you are expected to go out and buy what is needed to replace it. 
• Odds are, even though this is a laundromat is a wash and fold, meaning people drop off their laundry and get it cleaned, the employees often don't have laundry detergent, fabric softener, or even bags to put the laundry in because the owners have neglected to restock for long periods of time, and I myself have had to go to the dollar store and buy what should have already been there.
• Back to the employee that made my life a living hell: I'm going to try my best to keep her unnamed, but by the end of this, I assume anyone who has met her will know exactly who I'm talking about. This woman, in the beginning, was the sweetest little old lady I have ever met. She interviewed me, trained me for those 4 short hours, and up until the moment I signed my employee contract, was an absolute doll. But literally the day after I became "fully-employed" by this company, she began to show her true colors. To begin, she is obscenely racist, with Richmond being a town with a pretty decent Hispanic and Middle-Eastern population, she made her hatered for other people very obvious, saying things like, "Make sure you don't leave the front of the store unoccupied when them Mexicans are around, or they'll steal whatever isn't nailed down," or, "Them blacks never want to pay for a full load of laundry, they'll lie about warshers taking their quarters." or something of the like, sometimes involving the associated racial slurs, was something I absolutely could not tolerate. She made her unease about being around homosexual people just as apparent, which I guess could be caused by how she was raised, but still, it was really frustrating to hear her talk so poorly about people, a lot of which were the nicest people I have ever met.
This woman also liked to say snide things about weight, and has purchased soap, shampoo, and toothpaste for a fellow employee of mine, and humiliated her in front of customers. (To be continued...)

Very clean, attendant was very helpful, as well as having a professional demeanor. Will be coming back. Attendants name was Sandi.

Look online and says it opens at 7am. Awesome, maybe I can get there before the moms with 17 children that they don't supervise. Get there, and the door says 8am. Oh well, online information isn't always accurate. it's 15 till, I can chill out and wait. By 8:20 still no sign of life.  Too lazy to even open on time. 

Also, gotta love how the amount of time you get on the dryers per coin goes down literally every time I go there.
