Spreckels Park was host to the Annual Flowers festival. Master Gardeners and a dozen venues inside the Park were accompanied by a local orchestral band. Beer was reasonably priced, nicely accompanied by a hot dog. The flowers were amazing and the selections were far ranging. I recommend a stop at any time in this beautiful community park.

Idyllic setting with shaded areas and lots of things to do nearby- the library is right across the street, I spend a significant amount of time here. There is a nice gazebo, limited parking, almost 100% local visitors, very chill and mellow spot with events going on all the time on the weekends. It's well patrolled and safe, there are not a lot of homeless people on Coronado so the usual issues with nice parks are not as prevalent in Coronado- you can't smoke anyplace on the island in public so that's a huge plus and a deterrent, obviously. It's the quintessential stroller park if you have little ones, and it's clean, the facilities and well maintained. By the way, metered parking on island in most cases is 25 cents, so you will not have to pay much, if you find a spot - If you are looking for a chill spot in Coronado as a base while walking around, look no further- it's near the high school and the Performing Arts Center, so it gets busy on the surface streets during drop off and pickup times.

Coronado is a beautiful place, but they do have restrictions. This small park doesn't allow dogs! They have side street parking and it's walking distance to small shops and restaurants.

It's clean, family friendly, if your kids loves fire trucks they might get a fun surprise as they drive by with the fire station a block away

We are so fortunate to be close to this lovely park which is located across the street from our building, El Alhambra, on Orange Ave. It is part of the Parade route, so we can either go sit in the park or on the glider on our balcony to view parades.
