Disclaimer: most of the nurses and doctors are fantastic individuals. But I have had more trouble with their phone system than anything in my whole life. I called to confirm my appointment and they sent me straight to the message machine, as always. Usually I get a courtesy call but I didn't get one this time. Since I never got a return call I had to rush out to the hospital (across town). I arrived 9 MINUTES late. They said they couldn't see. I waited ten minutes then they got me in.

I was in st pete's hospital for a little while...I received good care from the staff there, I have stomach issues and was referred to Dr. Kjorstad...two different doctors at the hospital told me i needed surgery for my issues...I went to see Dr Kjorstad...he told me that he felt the problem would heal itself and he wanted to wait 6 months to see if it would...my problem started getting worse so i went for a follow up with my primary doctor and she tells me she feels i need the surgery as well and she was going to call dr. kjorstad to see what he had to say about it...so a couple of days later a friend of mine goes to pick up a medication that i take daily...he comes back with an extra one in the bag...i have never been told about this medication or what i would be taking it for...i look on my patient portal and all of a sudden there is a diagnoses made by him, on there that no one has ever mentioned to me. So i call Dr. Kjorstad's office to ask him to send me out to Virginia Mason, which is where he said he wanted to send me to get the surgery done if in six months it wasn't healed....his nurse calls me back to tell me that he will not send me out there as he doesn't think i need the surgery that i just have behavioral issues and if i get someone else to send me out there he will not take me in for the after care...here's the thing...he is trying to get st. petes licensed to do barriatric surgery and i believe he wants me to wait so he can do the surgery himself...it is funny to me he told me different things everytime i talk to him and i find it more interesting that he diagnosed me with this "gastric peresises" without doing any testing and only spending 15 mins with me then diagnosed several people i know with the exact same thing....hhhhmmmm.....is it something we are all eating in helena or what....one nurse told me that this is a new thing that has came out and didn't know much about it.....it looks like this going to be one of those diagnoses they give you when they don't know what it is or they just don't want to deal with it....beware friends this guy raises some red flags!!!
