Stan Brewer and his family have been some of the most wonderful people in the world to deal with. Kent Brewer is intelligent, understanding, and fair in all his dealings. The only reason that I put 4 stars instead of 5 is that maintenance work to be done on a property could be done a little quicker, perhaps. However, the main point of my little article here is for people who read these reviews to please dismiss and discount all of the losers who scream "Slum Lord" and give Stan Brewer one star. One, in particular, which I will affectionately call Byrd Brain, does NOT give the correct picture, as any reasonable and objective person should do. First of all, the issues that she posts were exaggerated or untrue, and roots of trees which had been grown by previous tenants (not in compliance) were negatively affecting a sewer line. This issue was not caused by Stan Brewer, but it was solved by Brewer and the owner in a timely manner. Also, she had piled together a long list of hypochondriacal complaints as losers do, hand-written and scrawled on notebook paper, and when she submitted it in court, asking for an outlandish $10,000 like a thief would, she stupidly sued the wrong person in court, and if it hadn't been for a bleeding heart liberal judge, who intervened on behalf of her, she would have lost because she sued the wrong person. The judge threw her a bone, giving her only a little over 10% of what she asked, and the judge didn't even require her to sue the correct person, as is required by law. Also the court did not give Brewer the correct time for the court case. All part of how California law treats tenants like royalty and then treats real estate business people like landlords as dirt. If I had to choose between meeting and greeting all of the losers who scream Slum Lord like idiots, have no patience, don't understand how to be reasonable, have no concept of business and fair agreements and what did they sign and agree to - I would choose to meet and greet the wonderful family of Stan Brewer. Losers, take your one star and go smoke it somewhere else - far away.

I've been in one of the home for 3 years the come once a year. And says she's going to fix bla bla bla. And really nothing has been done. I've went twice to complain about the shower hot water turn high on it's own even when I put it on the right temperature. It goes high on it's own. This house is old and very cold I turn on heaters in the room the breaker turn off . So I got no choice but to keep them off. And really the only reason I'm still here is cause my husband has been sent back to Mexico and my income is not enough to rent somewhere else. They sound very nice but they really don't care in fixing anything and then they bring maintenance guys that suck. They tell me the company is cheap so that how they work.

Why is it that every complaint on here is about a stove.. we moved into one of their properties about two to three years ago, when we moved in there wasn't​ a stove. We called and complained about it multiple times and they refused to provide us with a stove..They told us that they didn't have to provide us with one.. so we finally moved three years later (the whole three years we lived there never had a stove we used hot plates and burners.) We get our list of crap they were charging us for and there was a receipt attached for the stove they supposedly bought for that property.. when I told her the house never had one she said they never rent out a property unless it's fully equipped with the proper alliances... ALL OF A FREAKING SUDDEN!! I don't know maybe it was an invisible stove.. anyways they are accusing us of stealing it and want us to pay $500 for a damn stove we never even had.. amongst a bunch of other crap.. we also gave them our 30 day notice two months prior over the phone even wrote up a paper and gave it to them the last month we were staying there. they said that they never received it so now they are trying to charge us for a month that we didn't even live in the house!! The house was crap! we were in a hurry to move in because we were moving to bakersfield from a different town. The sink and tub had black mold growing in them an they came and crapily painted over it.. ceiling fan was hanging by the wires that was the only two things they would come and fix. the fence in the back yard was even falling over we also complained about that multiple times and they never ever came to fix it. This reality company totally sucks and all they care about is taking your money.. they won't even give us our deposit back which is stupid because the house was not how a house should have been before we moved in. Don't ever ever rent from them!!

We went and put in an application which cost $40 just for them to not call us back. When we contacted them 3 weeks later we were told the owner was trying to sell the house. Never going through them again

Had a great experience. Helped me rent my first place, it was easy and pain free. no issues to date. cheap and effective, what more could you ask for? Have met the owners several time and they seem like nice people, always treated me fairly
