I'm from Washington D.C and run a veterans assistance organization. While assisting a veteran from Katy Texas I discovered that the Texas government agencies aren't worth spit from the Governor's office on down to the county Administrators in Waller County. My 60 year old veteran with dementia is having his house torn to pieces and his, his disabled wife's and step daughter's property, vehicles, and livestock seized in violation of a federal court order by the Waller County Department of the environment. We discovered that the agency has no legitimite order in place to destroy this man's home or seize his property. You cannot get in touch with Waller County officials, they dodge your phone calls, trying to contact the State agencies that are supposed to protect the rights of my Veteran from overzealous government agents.never answer their phones. Calls to the Attorney General's office, Office of Seniors Assistance, and even a call to the Governor's Office, all stated, "It's Not our job" whose f****** job is it then. If this is the best your Administration can provide in Texas to protect an elderly, mentally unstable veteran maybe it's time you all look for a new governor and a new attorney general, especially after the Attorney General's Office takes a high and mighty crusade stating he's protecting the rights of seniors and devotes a whole web page to it.. Bullshoot.

The state is being run horribly by a RICH man who never went without a day in his life. We need leadership who cares about low income rather than just overlooks it. the homeless in austin is not mainly by choice, its because rent is too high, i think the governor should get off his lazy behind and do something about it. second a single parent with a child making 13.00 an hour should not receive only 15.00 a month in food-stamps when paying 870 a month in rent plus utilities when in a different town making only 300 less and paying 400 less in rent got 250.00. that shows the governing policies in Texas are flat stupid. If Abbott is still in office in 2020's i will run against him.

Gov. Abbott is a great governor. Best of all he interacts with the people. He listens to the concerns of the people, too. Gov. Abbott is highly intelligent and responsible. We think he is doing a good job!
