Very disappointed in my experience here. For the price you pay you expect everything to be perfect. For four people the bill was almost $300 (which we expected) but the food was incredibly dry to the point where I couldn't choke down more than 3 bites. The waiter clearly noticed I didn't eat my food but said nothing other than did I need a box. When I replied no, I didn't eat it because it wasn't cooked well he just said oh and took my plate away. Not even an apology or an offer to bring me something else. The service at the beginning was nice but after our appetizer was brought out it was painfully slow. At any other place I probably would have been more patient but I'm paying this much for food I expect WAY better. Will not be back on my own accord.

I love the history here, and of course the location on the water is divine. The best part of the meal was the chef's addition of a tiny financier cake--it's just not seen often anymore and it was delicious. The tasting menu was uninspiring and although I knew the restaurant would be booked because of the holidays, I wasn't prepared for the cramped dining room or the rushed service. That being said, my Martini was sublime and a good time was had. And yes, their famous shrimp are a must-have.

Never had a bad experience here. The company I work for has our holiday dinner here and it never fails to exceed our expectations. Have eaten here on separate occasions with the same service. Food is excellent. Just like their food.

Steinhilbers is a high end restaurant. The service and food is excellent, a great place for a special occasion. One draw back is we were sit by a window and it was very cold. I had to ask the staff to turn the heat on. Several of us who were sit by the windows were wearing our coats.

This was a pre Christmas gathering to celebrate my son's 18th birthday. The meal was not the quality I expected. The 8 meals ordered were mostly not worth the prices paid. The ambiance was great...service average...meals disappointing.
