We had an excellent experience with Sterling on our recent cross-country move. Communication with the quote and scheduling was thorough and helpful. The driver was outstanding and the crews on each end were very professional and treated our belongings with great care, which is also a reflection of the drive's leadership. We had no problems at all and would definitely use them again.

Sterling Moving and Storage delivered my household goods this week. I have been in the military for 16 years so I have quite an amount of experience moving homes. It has been a long time since I have had terrible service from a moving company and unfortunately this is one of them. My issues with this company... 1. To start, they scheduled a move in time from 8am-5pm. They told me they would start early morning around 0800-0900. The movers did not show up until after 2pm. I did not receive a call or notification they were late. I called their customer service and dispatch twice and was told to stand by and be patient for a phone call which I did not receive until they were about 45 minutes away. 2. When the two movers did arrive, they of course had their own excuses of why they were late saying the job was someone else's in the morning that did not show up so they filled in. That would have been fine if they didnt start off with an attitude complaining how this delivery would take all night. The original schedule already had it planned for a all day unpack. 3. Again another attitude problem. This time with unpacking. The mover basically said if they did the unpacking they would unload everything directly on the floor and create a mess. It was quite obvious they wanted to get out of there as soon as possible without finishing so I asked if I unpacked myself would the boxes be picked up at another day. They assured me it would. Which leads to the next problem. 4. Unloaded all my household goods myself and called the company to schedule a pickup. I asked them for any time on a Friday. They told me it wouldnt be an issue and they would be here from 4pm-6pm to finish the job. They never showed up and again no call was received informing me that they would not come. Apparently this company thinks their time is more important than everyone else and feels no need to inform them of delays or cancellations. To top it off, the movers kept talking about how their job pays so little and hinted at expecting a tip for their services. Needless to say, I do not tip for bad service. I still have to file a claim for damages done but cannot because a week after my delivery, the paperwork is held up somewhere on their end. Maybe I just had bad luck dealing with the wrong people from this company but if I have a choice in the future, I will never choose them. Hope this saves someone in the future from having a bad experience with Sterling Moving and Storage.
