Wow!  What a great experience.  My wife, daughter and I recently stayed at Stone Arches while we visited our 2 students at UConn.  Bette and Paul are gracious hosts who made us feel welcome immediately.  Their house is a true gem with tons of classic New England charm and character.  The rooms, while maintaining that classic feel, are all modern and newly renovated with all the amenities.  Paul is a master in the kitchen and prepared a fabulous breakfast for us that included homemade blueberry scones and farm fresh eggs.  We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already made follow-on reservations for graduation.  Highly recommend.

I’ve never been so impressed with a bed and breakfast. Never. 

It almost goes without saying that the hosts were wonderful. That’s the easy part. 

The breakfasts that we had we straight out of a 5-star restaurant. Delicious and prepared by a proprietor with chef school training. 

Absolutely delicious, super-we’ll presented, the best scones we’ve ever had, and served in a wonderful, friendly, homey, yet high-end restaurant-like manner. 

Wonderful food. 

The accommodations were also amazing. Clean, comfortable and in unbelievable condition for a room named 1684, the year it was created. 

Aside from this terrific base of a B&B, I was absolutely mesmerized by the stone work. 

I could not comprehend how a 4’10” woman could single handedly complete this amazing work. 

We truly viewed the home as an incredible, long-standing work of art. I took no less that 50 pictures of the atone work alone. 

STAY at this place!!!  You will be more than happy that you did. I guarantee it.

Wonderful stay at Stone Arches. We got away for a night without the kids and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Clean top notch accommodations, delicious breakfast, and lovely owners. Wish we could stay longer!

I had a wonderful stay at Stone Arches! Bette and Paul are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and about the history of the house. They had many suggestions on what to see and do while in the area. The breakfast was wonderful. Home made scones, bacon, and eggs fresh from the chickens they have on the property. I was even able to help collect some eggs and pet one of the chickens.
