this place wasn't too bad even though i couldn't get no one to wait on me. only body seem to care was the host. everyone else must of been family because they felt they could do what they want.  but the food was good. no complaints about that at all besides I should got more greens  and the menu said  8.50  not 14.75. i knew he was on some trash when he didn't tell me the price up front. I won't be buying anything with out him telling me the price up front.

Great food, terrible service. My second time visiting this place and had the worst experience. Staff not very friendly and forgot to put our orders in twice. Had to ask repeatedly for utensils and napkins until one of my friends actually got up and got them ourselves. Love their food but will never go again

I came to the restaurant on a Saturday night during a Cavs game. It wasn't very busy, which was nice. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar to dine. The food was very good but the reason for 2 stars in cleanliness. We walked around the bar to find a good spot to sit and one half of the bar was not cleaned off, there were cups and water spills everywhere and there was a stench.  Also the floor was very sticky. Then I went to the restroom, which was dirty as well. It was not very busy so I don't know why the restaurant was not clean. Also, the bartender was very slow with service.

Service is horrible no one came to take my order, my wife is pregnant and  she didn't even get ask if she would like a glass of water. Terrible don't go to that place. It's a black owned restaurant and the only ppl that's was served was the old white couple sitting next to us and their service was fast. The bartender was ghetto  fabulous  he hollered across the bar no more bunch after we been waiting 30 minutes. The one server took a break on his phone for 10minutes. I finally got fed up and left that's when this fool of a bartender decided to take my order,  I was insulted as a black man, and a military man who have served his country in three consecutive  different wars,  and could be possibly going to Syria to fight another war and I can't even get anything to eat from a black soul food restaurant. TERRIBLE don't go there please eat somewhere  respectable

This is my 2nd experience at this restaurant. The first time was great! The second wasn't so good. The grits were scorched and tasted somewhat burnt. The chicken was hard and had to go back. The scrambled eggs were cold and burnt on the bottom. The waiter was nice and so was the manager, but still not nearly the same experience as before. I'll come back, but only for drinks.
