This store seems to be a good supermarket and a typical Stop & Shop. We stop by if we're in the area and ever need anything. Everything is easy to find, the store is big and clean, and most of the staff seemed to be friendly and helpful. Bakery section is good in most Stop & Shops and this was no exception. The problem was the produce. It didn't look very good. Also, the fish didn't look too fresh, but that's typical for Stop & Shop. I don't buy fish so that's not a problem for me. Overall, this store is good, but be careful with produce and seafood.

We have always had wonderful and helpful staff at our Stop and Shop check out. Strange, around 2:45 PM Saturday 1/27/18 all the check out lines were busy, I went to the first one which was for 12 and less. The customer ahead of me was paying and left. Nobody was ahead or behind me. I heard the cashier making a scene shouting only 12, only 12, while I was putting the grocery on the belt. After about 30 seconds (and after I counted my items) I told her that I had 15 items which I did not realize. She was very sour and told me that this lane is for people with 12 items Max. She was so agitated that I had to tell her, “you see there was still nobody here behind me." In response, she said that I was right. Then, I made a comment that she just did not want to work. Understandingly, after that she showed a rude behavior on which I spare you the details. I found out the reason why she was mad at me. I just interrupted her Texting on her smart phone, Because, when she was checking the next customer, she continued with texting while yelling only 12, only 12 at the other customers. I did not see any floor manager there and when I asked; one of the cashiers said that the lady was their C. H. which I didn't know what it meant. This was very odd to me because I was seeing the cashiers at 12 items max , when they were free, they voluntarily helping the customers with larger number of items to check out, which was admirable.

Returned recycle bottles/cans this am. Filled one of two plastic machines. Spoke with only cashier I could find, service desk was not open yet. After completing my returns I went to the service desk as it was after 8 am, 8:05 am the staff started to address the line that had formed. I requested the store manager and described the situation. He apologized after stating that store policy was to address full bins within five minutes of being informed. After returning to my vehicle I decided to recheck the full and beeping plastic machine. Next I checked the clock on this smart phone. I started the stopwatch when I first informed the cashier. It was thirty-four minutes and counting. Suggestion: connect the full beeper in parallel to a distinctive flashing prominent light in the store Make it green for recycle.

They have a large, separate area for self checkout. They generally have lots of manned registers open as well and usually have someone to bag your groceries. It's always clean and the staff is very friendly.

The experience was fast and reliable to finding all my groceries. It was a busy place to be with all its customers shopping. It's was overall a great experience!
