Storm Group Roofing operates like every other contractor I have had the displeasure of trying to work with. Lots of empty promises to come out and bid out/do work, only to never show up.

I have been "trying" to work with Storm Group Roofing as far back as mid-July of 2016. From July to mid-October, I was attempting to get some work done on my roof - I say attempting because they kept saying they were moving along the process, but I would always have to email them to find out what was happening. It was a small job, and I suspect they only strung me along because they were trying to get my insurance involved to make it a bigger one. I'm guessing my insurance eventually told them "no", and that's when they decided to write me off without the courtesy to let me know.

Finally mid-October I simply said "Look guys, I know my project isn't that big. If it's too small for you, can you let me know so I can look elsewhere?". They responded back saying "We would be happy to do that work for you.", asking when they could come out. I responded in kind, they never showed.

Why the one star? If my project isn't worth your time, just tell me so I can stop wasting my time with you. It's now mid-November and I'm having a hell of a time finding any contractor who wants to work on my roof during the winter. I spent 4 months going back and forth with these guys under the guise of them saying they would do the work. Ultimately my project was too small for them, and that's okay, but to lead me on for months saying you'll do the work is unacceptable. I try and be a reasonable person - I put up with their feet-dragging for months, and even gave them an out by telling them it was fine if my job was too small. They couldn't even take that freebie and instead doubled-down on saying they would do the work. Thanks, guys.

I just don't understand the short-sightedness of contractors like this. My roof needs a full replacement within a year or two. Who do you think I'll be calling? Certainly not these guys.

I brought Storm Group in to replace the roof on a 1920's Minneapolis home I bought  last year - and this roof had not been replaced in at least 20 years, so it was in horrible condition.  They provided a responsive, personal approach by coming out to meet with me on my own preferred time, which is big.  And when I was ready to move forward with the project, they were able to advise on the most suitable shingle color/type and then schedule it within a matter of days.  The workmanship was top notch and the pricing was very reasonable, considering my next door neighbor had his roof done (at approximately the same roof size) for a couple thousand dollars more.  I'd recommend them to anyone.

Typical storm chasing contractors use up subcontracted people and not pay them for their servixe and/or work done and then  move onto sub victim.   I sent an invoice and owner stated he would not pay me as discussed and then refused any terms we offered him to try and accommodate him despite our company policy as well.  We even let him nickle and dime our invoice to $375 hoping to cover  base costs and bare minimum so that we are not loosing money on top of already not making any.   Very unprofessional and theifs.    Great company to  work for if you want to work for free.   Very disaapointed.

I have a home from the 20's and it was in need of some major roof repair.  Their sales approach is very easy and the price was incredibly reasonable.   Their team is  experienced and they were able to handle the surprises that arise in older homes, mine was a rebuild of the dormer.  They replaced my roof on my house, garage and shed, fixed my chimney and put in new downspouts that I no longer have to clean....yeah!  The team was very clean and if there are any issues, these are taken care of immediately.  I am a very happy with their work and would highly recommend them.
