Completely done with this store. If you are looking to be ignored then disrespected and have your time wasted, this is the place to be. The store is properly staffed during peak times, however the additional staff just stand around BS-ing with each other. When you can burden them to put their personal side conversations on hold to assist you, they screw up whatever you have asked for, I'm assuming their minds are on their personal conversations and not their work. When you do call them on their mistakes, they act like you are the one that screwed up and giggle like stupid school kids. I came in during lunch time for a couple tacos and some tobacco. I waited in line for 5mins. while one person made orders and the other two stood their yacking with each other and yelling at the kitchen staff (in Spanish of course). When one of the ladies did finally get around to me, she asked my order, I clearly told her, then she walked away from the counter, to the other side of the store to talk to another employee. When she returned, she completely destroyed my order. The entire time I was trying to tell her it was wrong but she couldn't hear me over the sound of herself talking to people in the kitchen. I finally raised my voice so she could hear over her own and the response I received was "I thought that's what you ordered". Maybe if you hadn't walked away in the middle of the order or asked if you weren't sure about it, it could have been avoided. So, she finally asked what I "really" wanted. I told her, she repeated back an incorrect order, I repeated, different incorrect order. Finally, another employee jumped in an said the same thing I'd said originally...eureka!!! she got it! Then she had to make a smart remark in Spanish. I finally told her to forget it and walked away, wasn't worth my sanity. When I did that she began talking about me to the other employees and customers, blaming me for not telling her what I wanted in a way she could understand. Lunch was off, at least I'll get my tobacco...how could that get screwed up? It did. The young girls behind the counter were, as was the rest of the staff, chit chatting with each other. I asked for the item I wanted and she retrieved the totally incorrect item without ever missing a beat in her conversation. When I called her on it, she replied "I thought that's what you asked for" to which I replied "what I asked for and what you think I said sound completely different, no way to mistake that". She grabbed the correct item, tossed it on the counter, looked at her friend (coworker) and started to laugh. Total lack of qualified management, professionalism and common courtesy. Will never go to this store again!

You're welcomed when you enter any Stripes. The iced tea is fresh, the lunch plates are a value, and the tacos are delicious. If you like "truck stop burritos, they're always 3 for $2.00 at stripes.

I was the 2nd person in line at the taco bar, the man in front of me was helped and then the 4 women behind the bar congregated around one of the cashiers that came over to them and they were looking at something on her cell phone and talking. I waited. They saw me waiting and continued to discuss whatever was so engrossing with the cell phone. When I was finally helped, my bag was slathered in beans when I received my order. I went to get a drink, the coke was out in one of the machines. I proceed to check out but where there were 4 cashiers when I walked in, there's no one. I could see one of the ladies from the taco bar that ignored me in the back, she looked at me and didn't seem concerned yet again with customer service. Finally, the cashier came out, the one with the phone, and I told her about this experience being crappy. She apologized half heartedly, but she was clearly pissed because I mentioned how she had the other ladies gathered around her phone ignoring me in the taco line. Worst stripes experience I've encountered by far.

It's like a little Buccee's. Lol I wish all convenience stores were like Stripes and Buccee's. Buccee's will always be the best though.

Had to wait a couple of minutes to be greeted at the taco bar. Once they took my order, they realized they didn't have any tortillas so they had to make some. About 10 minutes from the time I walked in until I got my food. Then I proceed to the checkout line. Again no one working the register, so I have to wait another minute or so to check out.
