I enjoyed an extended stay at this beautiful, quiet, entertaining, and wonderfully warm hearted guests/staff. Everyone, excluding the minor inconvenience every now and again of course, treated each other as well as one of their own family. If you want a great alarm clock the forest itself, around daybreak, Stubblefield welcomes the day with distant but melodious shotgun fire that just out of nowhere makes you break a smile. Mysterious, awe inspiring, down right beautiful every hour of the day. Have a cup of coffee and invite peace into your life with a stay at the memorable Stubblefield Recreational Area. See you there!!!!

Love going to Stubblefield. The area is all ways well maintained and the trails are very well kept to. Also if your a fisherman like i am very close access to the lake and good spots for both types of fisherman on and offshore.

This is a great place to get in touch with nature. This is the very Northern tip of Lake Conroe, where the San Jacinto River starts to get wide. There's good fishing, great camp grounds, and long trails to waste time on. Come prepared as it is a good drive to any kind of store. Other notable places in the area are Cagle Recreation Area and the Forest Service Station on FM 1375 just west of I45.

Great place for a weekend getaway. Right on the water, they have restrooms and showers. Alot of hiking trails nearby
