I do not recommend tent camping here. There is no privacy and it's very very noisy at all hours of the day and night. It is not peaceful at all. If you are looking for a peaceful stay don't come here. When we got to our site there was no picnic table, no grill, and no fire ring. We had to go to other sites to try to get one from other people. It was disappointing for $128 for only 3 nights. I do think it would be a better experience if you had an RV. This place seems like a retirement home for people with RVs and I did not know that.

First off bby.    We were rudely told to leave the pool and move our golf cart by this pissy old man....            And we found multiple roaches in cabin G61 and some of them were in the bed. Btw this is  "Conner"

This is the best maintained Thousand Trails park that we've been to. The pool area is the crown jewel. There are also basket ball, tennis and pickle ball courts that all look very new. We stayed for 3 days and felt like the facilities had a lot to offer. They seem to be expanding the park to add (vacation?) homes. It feels more "resort" than "outdoors." We had a great spot on the end of a row with a view of one of the ponds. The spaces are gravel and we needed to level a tad front to back.

The park is only a few miles from town and the biggest Kroger grocery store I have ever seen. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and will certainly stay here again in the future.

Ok, there is a reason this gets a 1 star from us. Everyone looks for different things when camping, what we look for is: nice sized spaces and not on top of each other, level spaces, access to wifi or in a place where Verizon works well, friendly staff, clean and open facilities and straight forward billing. Lake Conroe is part of Thousand Trails and is included in our membership, but Lake Conroe doesn't allow a 50amp RV to use their 30amp plug, you are REQUIRED to use 50amp and then they bill you for it. This is not on their website, this is not in the email confirmation, you find this out once you pull in to camp.
Our site was so unlevel, the front tires were off the ground to get to level. Staff was not friendly and instead thought that making jokes to every single person that came through was 'good customer service'. Main building was closed due to remodeling, restaurant closed, laundry closed... come on...

While the lake is beautiful and this might be a perfect park for you, it was not for us based on what we like when we camp.
