We are a small local breakfast and lunch cafe located in Esquimalt!

Story

We are a family owned awesome all day breakfast and lunch cafe located in Esquimalt.... renowned for our eggs benny, great soups, great tunes and local art! Pop in for a delicious meal or have it to go! We are also fully licensed so you can enjoy a beverage with your meal. Our staff is friendly, up beat and always up for a good conversation. We are open 7 days a week 8am-3pm. Hope to see you soon!

We have a parking lot located next to our building as well as an abundance of parking on side streets all around the Cafe! No shortage of free parking here!

Not happy. Went wife my wife today to unwind after a grueling interview. Nice smile to greet us. Ordered my poached eggs medium. 1 came hard boiled. The other runny to the point of inedible My wife's eggs were the same. Ordered the Benny soft poached. Onehard boiled. The other medium to hard. I would of asked for a redo...but sadly...no quality check Sucks to pay and leave a tip before you eat Grilled tomatoes..terrible. As a suggestion..if your going to serve grilled tomatoes..slice that puppy in half and grill it like a bloody Englishman. Not these burger slices carved up for the lunch crowd As a long time resident in esquimalt, I try very hard to support all our local venues I think we will shy away from this in the future

Simply the best place for breakfast, and walking distance from our house! The staff and service are great, and the menu has such a great variety of eggs benny that it's always a challenge to decide what to have. Lunchtime soups are a meal in themselves, and always made in house with fresh, usually organic ingredients. Lots of veggie options, too! Stephanie and her staff create a great vibe in Esquimalt!

Great food, great people, but the owners! Oh man, in an industry that thrives on low-paid employees, Sunnyside bucks that and treats the staff like gold. Very heartening to see

Sunnyside is our favorite breakfast spot! The food is excellent, the staff are all lovely. artwork Is ever-changing and adds to the great atmosphere. Definitely worth a trip across the bridge unless you live in Esquimalt, in which case you would go as often as I do!
