Sunnyside Resort is a classic Tahoe restaurant & lodge with panoramic lake views & an incomparable dining location right on Lake Tahoe's west shore.

Story

Sunnyside's spectacular location on the pristine West Shore makes it the place to be in Lake Tahoe. Panoramic views of the lake and mountains beyond abound from nearly every table and during the summer, guests can also enjoy alfresco dining on Lake Tahoe’s largest outdoor deck.

The Lakeside Dining Room features new American cooking – fresh, vibrant presentations of American classics with a focus on premium seafood and steaks. The award winning wine list has been carefully selected to complement the menu and offers a wide variety of wines including some rare & limited offerings.

Our Mountain Grill offers a more casual atmosphere and is seated on a walk-in basis only.
Mountain Grill:
4:00pm - 9:00pm; EVERYDAY
Lakeside Dining Room:
5:30pm - 8:30pm; EVERYDAY

Sunnyside is also a classic lakefront lodge with guest accommodations overlooking Lake Tahoe. The 23 mountain inspired lodge rooms are inviting places to sink into after the day's activities.

Had a dinner there with my wife. We both had the fish tacos that were fantastic. I had a dark and stormy from the bar which was quite nice but wasn't really anything special. We finished dinner with their famous hula pie that I can't recommend enough. The restaurant is right on the lake and has a beautiful view. The only bad thing about this restaurant is that it's so popular that there is a long wait for a table and the service is rather slow.

Amazing food and a fantastic wine selection. We had several appetizers, of which the crab cakes, calamari, and zucchini were all excellent. They ran out of the special so I ordered the filet rare. It came out more like black and blue, which would be upsetting if it wasn't cooked perfectly. Still tender in the middle and very easy to chew, but nice flavor on the outside. The lobster Mac it came with was sinful. We had an excellent experience and will definitely return.

We ate that the lake side grill and had the fish and steak tacos. Both were excellent. Our kids had kids meals and enjoyed them as well. Service is usually pretty good at sunny side and the food never disappoints. The best part of course is the amazing views of Lake Tahoe!

Sunnyside has a great location lakeside with wonderful views. It is usually very busy, so be prepared to wait for a table outside. Food is casual but pretty good. They have a rather wide selection. Great spot for lunch or sunset. Kid friendly. Lots of bike racks if you plan to ride there.

While the food was reasonably tasty the service was horrific. We were there celebrating post wedding ceremony. Upon arrival at 8pm on a Monday night with a empty restaurant it took over an hour to get our two meals. We had to ask multiple times for refills which at $3 dollars a soda refill ($15 dollars in soda) is highway robbery. It would have been better for that price to get alcohol. Our server along with slow delivery of food made this a major disappointment in our big celebration dinner! At least the food was reasonably good.
