I had my first "pawn shop" experience here, and was so impressed I've been back twice. Kirk and Roger are courteous and professional beyond words, and they make a stressful situation much, much easier. They are also a wealth of information; so, if you ask the right questions, you can learn so much about buying pieces of jewelry that will hold their value better than others. This is a business you can feel good about using instead of those national chains. Also, if there is something you want, they will call you if they get it in. Trust Kirk, Roger, and staff and support this honest hard-working local business!!!

Call it luck or a blessing that my first call to a pawnshop was to Sunset Jewelry & Loan for help: Kirk is a genuinely honest, caring and compassionate man. He was just what the doctor ordered to take the anxiety out of what was a very stressful situation. He spent the necessary time to make me feel comfortable with our transaction(s). Throughout the term of my loan(s), I witnessed those same characteristics extended to all his customers. You can't go wrong doing business with Sunset Jewelry & Loan - thank you Kirk!

Provided me a great deal for a pendant and necklace for my girlfriends birthday. They were very flexible on pricing and provided an amazing customer experience. I recommend stopping by and seeing their selection. Their service will speak for it self.

As stated in my earlier review, Sunset Jewelry & Loan is the first "pawn" shop with which I have ever done business. My beloved dog recently required emergency veterinary surgery and I could not wait ten days to two weeks to sell stocks and get the check, have my bank hold it for two or more days, etc. I went to my jewelry box and pulled out several pieces, primarily 14 carat gold earrings, I had not worn in ten years or more; plus, I found a few unboxed electronic gifts I had not yet sent to their intended recipients. Kirk spent about an hour with me valuing the jewelry and showing me how he approximates the value of electronics (how would I ever have known there had been two new generations of Echo since I had bought one with 3 Wi-Fi plug-ins to enable "Alexa" to turn them on and off by voice command?). Kirk made me a generous offer, and I sold all the items to him on the spot and left the store with enough cash to ensure I could cover the cost of my dog's surgery (removal of a colorectal tumor and neutering), medication, and teeth cleaning, plus boarding if it became necessary. I cannot stress enough how patient and kind Kirk and his staff have been to me; and, I see him treat everyone who comes into the store with friendliness, compassion, and a desire to offer the best service possible. It is hard to find his wealth of knowledge, integrity, and genuine desire to earn and keep your business. Do not waste your time (and money) in those national chains or dark stores with too much neon in the windows, and give your business to a small business owner who will show you he appreciates your patronage. Thank you, Kirk, Roger, and staff!

I own an estate cleanout company and I am so happy I met the team at Sunset. I met Roger first and he was not only friendly and very fair but he also educated me throughout the process. Huge "Thumbs up"
