Welcome to the Super 8 of Gainesville. All new rooms in 2008 - tastefully furnished for your business or leisure needs. Conveniently located off Exit 384. Close to the University of Florida, hospitals, and restaurants. Please call us directly for our special Hospital or Commercial rates. Interior corridor access to rooms. Pets welcome in designated rooms only with limited availability - just 10 USD additional per pet, per night. Call property directly to reserve a pet room.

I stay here regularly as a remote employee at UF and, after staying in a number of other hotels (some much fancier on paper) I can truthfully say this is one of the cleanest and friendliest around. Add to that that it's so easy to get to campus and all the places within walking distance and it's easily the best motel in the area.

During Hurricane Irma we tried to get farther north but ended up here for the duration of Irma's fury.... Kim the manager & her crew managed a very hectic operation to get the hotel ready & serve the patrons as best they could...juggling competing priorities with calm & confidence...Kim & several of her crew stayed on premises the entire time...I never felt anything but encouraged for me & my disabled husband... Super 8 was never our stated destination but we found safety & "family"....nothing could top that!

The only reason my family and I had stayed here, was because our car broke down on our way home to Lyons Ga, 286 miles away. Our car had the timing belt break,. Needless to say we had to leave our car and rent a car. They allowed us to leave the car, until we were able to pick it up,.. again we live 286 miles, and towing companies charge 700$ to tow that far and AAA only tows within 100 miles. Upon calling to reassure we were making plans to pick it up by the weeknd,.. I got talked to rudely with the reasoning that there was a foot ball game coming up. And if it was not gone by the end of the week, it will be towed at our expense.. this is how the Super 8 treated a VERTAN OF THE UNITED STATES. AND HIS FAMILY THAT GOT STRANDED. Not to be patient but having a mind set that making money is more important than helping a person who risked his life so that these people could have freedom. We are picking up the car, as soon ares we can, but this manager ought to be ashamed of her self. It says veteran right on the license plate., Plus, he is now an officer of the law.. And making money is more important than helping someone out.. thanks Super 8. You showed us the mentality of typical ungrateful Americans.

Room was clean, beds comfy. Exterior and halls weren't the cleanest. Love the continental breakfast's waffle station, and the coffee was excellent. Would stay here again.

When we first checked it everything looked fine but after close inspection....not so much. Once starting the water for the shower I noticed a public hair in the bottom of the tub and two different spots with soap from previous stayers. (Two different color soaps as well). The water would get hotter, colder, and lose pressure all on its own. There was also an ear plug (didn't look used though) under one of the beds. There are several other things that bugged us but trust me when I say, spend the extra money and get a nicer hotel.
