The room had decent amenities (fridge, microwave, okay bathroom). It was very damp even with air conditioning. There was a mold smell in the hallway, and slightly in the room. The carpet in the hallway was squishy with moisture at night. The service was nice. If you didn't actually stay in a room overnight you would think it's a nice place to stay.

I really enjoyed this place. The room was nice, bed comfy and had a nice view of the lake. Was great to have coffee on the patio in the morning. Staff was very friendly and were happy to bring me extra pillows. Will stay here again when I am in Gainesville.

I’ve always enjoyed staying here, since before it changed hands to Windham. I don’t know that it’s improved any since they took over. It’s still a slightly rough around the edges, inexpensive, but clean place to stay in Gainesville. And the view over the lake is spectacular. Something about this place captures the essence of Gainesville for me. It’s out of the way, quiet, and has a free breakfast. Stay here if you want some peace and quiet! The $10 extra for the lake view is worth it if you will make use of it.

Okay, I am not sure if this hotel has changed since the last time I visited which was about a year and half ago, but when I visited I had a bad experience. First of all when I checked in, the staff at the front desk was friendly and everything was going good until I go to the room. It looked like it had not been cleaned from the previous guest. There was food in the trash cans and bugs in  the bathroom, and the beds were not made. The sliding glass door for the balcony was also not locking properly. I called the front desk and they gave me a room without any problem.  Everything was okay in the new room.  The next morning I went to breakfast, the food was good but the lady working in the breakfast area was incredibly rude. I wont mention her name in this review but she was really rude. I talked to the manager but he did not seem to do anything about her because she continued her behavior for the next few days. I hope this hotel goes through a few changes, I might give them another chance the next time I visit G-ville. Hopefully I can get better experience and change this review to a better one!

The rooms were clean and newly renovated. The elevator had an expired inspection certificate and sounded like it would break any second.. They had a leak in the parking lot that they ended up digging into the next morning with a backhoe.. They shut the water off to do this to the entire building and I didn't get a shower before checkout.
