Had the Dagwood burger and the famous root beer float. It was yummy for my tummy. Fries were nice too. Excellent service. Happy happy. Go there. Now! They have car shows on Saturday's also. Features: Covid is so over.
This place is a historic throwback to the 50's car hop that you see in the movies, even continuing the tradition of serving you in your car if you like but the roller skates are gone!. Smallish booths are inside which is decorated with memorabilia from last century like pay phones and old gas pumps! The menu and recipies hasnt changed - still the same great dogs, burgers, shakes and fries with simple table, counter and booth seating inside. Two notable "must-try" items, the burgers which are ground steak patties made very thin and the root beer which is home-made from their decades-old original recipe. During summer you will see a variety of classic cars gathering in the evenings and weekends as patrons relive their younger years. Vegetarian options: This is similar to diner food but there are excellent salads available. Kid-friendliness: This is similar to a diner atmosphere so no worries bringing young children in.
Northeast old school double dogwood deliciousness! The homemade root beer in a frosted mug, the original throwback dogwood burger jumped across the Atlantic pond delivering the French style butter bun. Shakes are vintage thick and creamy. All Americana cruising with nothing less of 100%! Definitely a stop in drive in.
This is a total throw back into time. I have only visited once as I was there with a friend, who goes to this place regularly. The food was great. I want to go back to try their root beer floats!Food: 5/5
First time here and will definitely be going back. Delicious, affordable and friendly. We had Jess and she was so sweet. We ordered a banana milkshake and coconut milkshake. Both were amazing! For lunch we had the cauliflower nuggets, chili, potato salad and a clam roll. Everything tasted so good and came out super quickly and piping hot. Big fans!
This is an old time Car Hop...This place has been here for over 50 years. Owners have changed throughout the years but each owner has kept the recipes & quality of their food the same. Awesome BURGERS, ONION RINGS & ROOT BEER! I grew up coming to this place with my parents & it was lots of fun to be able to share this experience with my daughter. Kid-friendliness: A couple of arcade games/claw machine for the kids. Parking: Plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot is flat by the building.
Interesting they call their hamburger a steak burger and the menu has a wider variety than the last time I was there I definitely more heart healthy with salads. Additionally they have newer variations for their sandwiches with seem pretty creative. I stuck with the traditional Burger and fries topped off of the root beer float which I haven't had forever. Yummmm
You’ve got to see to believe. Loved my meal, loved the service & loved the atmosphere!!
Stepping back in time is sycamore drive in. If your looking for hot dogs and hamburgers this place will do the job. The vintage cigarette vending machine in the door makes me remember easier times. I appreciate the vintage look inside my self. Take the time and look whats on the wall and around the place.Food: 4/5
I had ordered a plain hot dog with only cheese on it... I left, went about my way, only to discover they had put a chili sauce on it. I couldn't even eat it. The root beer was really good though!Food: 3/5
