I stopped by Cakes By Keon for some slices of cake, I highly recommend the strawberry crunch cake. An employee at the counter told me they owned the restaurant next door and the food was really good. I was hungry, so I went over. The menu was limited, so I decided on a whitening fish sandwich with fries. After about 10-15 minutes, my food was ready. I wasn't expecting a piece of fish and 2 slices of bread, but then again, it was only $10.99. The fries were overdone, and I barely ate them. I also purchased a lemonade to drink. I really wish it was fresh squeezed since it tasted like Kool-aid lemonade. Overall, I'm glad I supported two black businesses. Definitely stop by if in the area.
A diamond in the rough, a needle in the haystack. A healthy choice of food, an awesome owner and a variety of items for small shopping. Catch this place on specific days and you'll get a great $5 dollar menu. Stop by and say hi and grab a healthy smoothie.
The food is seasoning it just that they don't give you no sauce to go over your food. Normally, when I pay ebt for a seafood, it comes with the sauce over it. They dont.. first time I visit I guess you have to buy your own sauce. I had to come home and make my own dipping sauce
Went to Syde Foods during a cupcake run at Cakes by Keon which is next door. Purchased 3 shrimp plates which happened to be on special so that was a huge plus and some clusters of crab legs. My family enjoyed it so much I told multiple friends that live closer to the location who also love seafood. Customer service is great and they have a nice sized menu of items to choose from. Everything is reasonably priced. Got to try it asap, I’ll be back soon!
I was seeing all the IG post on this place, 2 weeks ago I finally was able to try it. First of all was greeted when I walked ina plus for me so many variety of things to choose from so I asked the lady at the register what was good, she looked at me and said ma’am everything is good here. Me: okay say no more I end up getting a smoothie & a shrimp wrapseafood lover by the way, oh my gosh the first bite was everything & the smoothie was very tasteful. I will be back and can’t wait to bring my friends and family. The customer service - Amazing/Professional Environment - Very clean and smells good before you walk in the door Food - Delicious/healthy It’s a good to have black owned establishment in our community & I pray nothing but success/blessings for continued service.
When I go I get the fried shrimp wrap and it’s always good, with fresh ingredients!
honestly this review is long overdue. i love syde foods been coming here since they first opened and cakes by keon! KEON out here doing his thing in the community accepting ebt. great food and smothies try the banana pudding tho i have to get at least 2 every time. i love my girls MEKA & SADE they are the best! best service super sweet and funny if you talk to them KEON as well! young JAVIS in the kitchen 1st time seeing him but he was cool too. i would come everyday if i had it like that but i go enough to where they know me by name so yea lol. check out their ig also they have the deals on there!
Honey I went to Syde Foods last Friday and when I tell you the food was so good, it will make you want to slap somebody. I got the crab legs, sausage, corn and potatoes and it was seasoned to perfection! I told Keon that I’m telling all of my friends to go there, and I suggest you do too!! And they are professional and nice too!!
What they promote on instagram is not true I was forced to buy two sides with what was supposed to be a $4 crab legs special then I called to confirm about EBT payment accepted after making ebt payment I was told there’s a cook fee of $1 idc about the $1 but if I come requesting to use ebt not knowing my situation the cook fee should be discussed before payment is made. It wasn’t a good experience won’t be returning
Best ebt acceptable place to go hands down but it's closed due to lack of staff
