I really love this place I have a quarter of a mile fishing pier huge up-to-date port for the children and really nice man-made beaches. This is a good place to take the family or either just go out by yourself and have a day to yourself

Nice family place. It's REALLY cool that there's a huge grassy area to post up for gatherings & eating separated from the sandy beach area. Shower stations in between as well. A pier, bait shop/convenience store also on site. I wish they rented umbrellas & chairs. NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED though. Police WILL check & rummage through your cooler.

This place is really beautiful. Local 24 had its 2017 annual Christmas party at the Sylvan Beach Pavilion. There was plenty food, drinks, a live band that was really really nice and a host of friends and family joining in to win cash prizes in upwards of $500.00 & $1000.00.

Cute little beach. You can't go out very far because of the fishing pier, but the beach is clean and not rocky. You aren't allowed to walk to the end of the pier though. You have to pay even if you aren't fishing and that really sucks. The guy working the pier wasn't very nice about it either.

This is the best maintained property on the Texas coast. Great for kids and all ages of adults. Lots of parking during the week. Handicapped acces available and lots of places tp watch the waves and the birds and the people.
