Do not be fooled by any of the beautiful pictures shown of Sylvan Cemetery!  It is not the quaint local cemetery that it was when my mother bought three plots there about 15-20 years ago.  It is an overcrowded, congested eyesore that is so hideous, it does not allow a person to spend any quiet, solemn time at the graveside of a loved one.  The way that management allows people to "decorate" the gravesites with plastic flowers, pinwheels, flags, and makeshift shrines makes this cemetery look more like a cheap carnival display than the reverent place it should be.  It's obscene!  My mother would not want to be there, I know.  Visiting her grave is an aggravating experience rather than a loving one due to all the "litter" scattered as far as you can see, including trash cans that are overflowing onto the grounds.  The picture below is an example of "decoration."  Multiply this times the thousands of gravesites in this cemetery!

My wife's brother and father are buried here.  It is an old style cemetery so it doesn't have the flat markers the newer ones require.  Sylvan has the fancy grave stones of years gone by.  That being said that graves are well kept.

Beautiful. Intimate cemetary not too large that you loose your loved one small enough with lots of land 🕙 arks for location and the workers here are cery kind and helpful

My entire Family dating back to Great Grandparents, Grandparents, Parents, Brother, Aunts, Uncles, In laws...Sylvan is a beautiful Cemetery.
