Other than buying a Justice Thomas fishing trip? The price of the Tuna fish, at $24/pound, has kept us from stopping in more frequently. But man… you sure can’t knock this joint for anything. So it’s a solid 5 except for price. Excellent bagels rival the best anywhere.Food: 5/5
Yummy whole wheat everything bagel and tofu scallion cream cheese. Plenty seating and a relaxed no frills diner like atmosphere.Food: 5/5
This place makes me happy every time I come in. The guys are friendly, food is Mew York through and through, and the bagels are delishFood: 5/5
I arrived at 4:30pm, because they close at 6 and they claimed they do breakfast all day and I was craving a BEC. I was told they weren’t doing breakfast, and when I asked, pointing at the sign that clearly stated “breakfast served all day,” I was told it is only until 4 because they close at 5. I then mentioned that the hours posted said they close at 6, and I was told they lock the door at 5 because it takes them an hour to clean. So they close at 5, not 6. And breakfast isn’t served all day.
Tal Bagels on Broadway has above average bagels. They are sometimes warm out of the oven and usually a good blend between soft, doughy, and crispy, with a good amount of seeds. Their cream cheese is good as well, and they have a good selection of tofu cream cheese. The service at Tel Bagels on Broadway is below average. They seem to be chronically under-staffed, rushed, and frequently get orders wrong and have a negative attitude when asked to correct the order. The manager is very busy running the register, but he is often accommodating when there is a problem with the order. There is always a line at Tal Bagels on Broadway whenever I go. I have come to expect this. Overall, this is a good place to get bagels on the Upper West Side in the 90's if you live here. They have pretty good bagels, but poor service. If you are a tourist, I would recommend going elsewhere.
Feels tired. But it’s basically all we have in the neighborhood, especially with a place to sit. Thanks landlords! Not enough and overworked “Mexican”workers, so the lines can be ridiculous. Not a dedicated cashier, which would make service smoother. Tables and chairs are old, wobbly and not in a cute antique way. The bagels? They are OK. Nothing like anything one would get in Queens. The spread display is unappealing and the several slabs of smoked salmon in the front case are far from appetizing, pardon the pun. Throw some oranges, some plastic flowers in there, make it look pretty. Should be good but mediocre at best.
They make up prices and confuse people. This came to a total of $20. The menu for a bacon egg and cheese $9.98. Which it too expensive but everyone said it’s the best. It’s not. The water was $5.50! I was in a rush so I needed to grab and go. They are relying on that since there’s such a long line. The math doesn’t add up,even with tax to $20. Save your time and your money and go somewhere else.
Bagels are ok. If it is expensive don’t eat here! Pros: It could be another vacant storefront. It has a Bathroom!!! Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor
This little quaint bakery joint has the best scallion cream cheese I've had in my life. On top of the delicious bagels, you cannot go wrong with this place. Get an iced coffee as well!
Always been over priced. My bagel with butter was 2.70.... really? And this space is looking dirty and yellow. How about some fresh paint and a little love in here! It feels gloomy and attracts questionable loiterers.
